Just trued 2 old schwinn mtb wheels and 2 new cheap chinese mtb wheels with this stand. Get yourself the 4 corner park tool spoke wrench ($10). You'll be glad you did. This truing stand is pretty sturdy, nice clean edges, nice paint and everything assembles well. Well worth the $90. I use a dial indicator with magnetic base to true up wheels. Makes life easier. If you don't know how to true up a bike wheel, fire up the Tube and learn. Plenty of good videos showing how.

Eighty some dollars for a few pieces of folded steel and nuts and bolts seems steep. BUT it's cheaper than the blue one! I have often trued my bike wheels while on the bike, using brake shoe to gauge wobble. This is MUCH easier and more accurate. I got them with in a couple mm without trouble. Later I also got one perfectly round. Thought that would be super difficult, but not really. This is a great tool to have if you can justify the cost. One or two uses and this pays for itself. Not super sturdy, but good enough; I just clamped the bases down to a board. I added a couple washers to the nuts holding the feeler things on, and it works better.

This is a nice truing stand. I use it all the time. You can true your wheels, and it has a disc brake aligner as well. I couldn't be happier, it does everything I need it to.

Initially, my biggest concern was that I might have to remove my 29" mtb tires every time to fit it in this stand. Since I'm tubeless that's a no go with the pain of re-seating them and putting new sealant in every time, but these fit the wheels with the tires still on with plenty of space! It's a sturday stand if you screw it into a work bench otherwise the base is fairly small and you will need to be gentle spinning the wheel so that it doesn't wobble the stand. I love the adjustability of it, but one thing that might be nice are some measurment markings on the pins that touch the wheel just as reference points. I guess for the price point, I would probably give it closer to a 4.5. If you are doing this for multiple bikes multiple times a month, I would shoot for the more expensive better ones, but for just me and maybe a buddy occasionally a few times a year, this will work just fine. The spoke tool it comes with is absolute junk as the manufacturing left so many burrs on the edges that you can't get the correct size around the spoke, but that didn't impact my rating at all because most people should already have a good spoke wrench anyways and they are cheap anyways.

I recently built my first MTB wheel using the Mimoke Bicycle Wheel Truing Stand and had no problems. The stand allowed for proper rounding, dishing, truing and tensioning of a 29er quick release wheel. (BTW, dishing the wheel in this stand simply involves reversing the wheel and tensioning until the sides equal each other). I also put a 155 mm thru-axle wheel into the stand and verified a perfect fit. The stand's handy brake disc tool made it really easy to pinpoint a slight warp in the disc. The stand is solid and sturdy. I didn't even bother to bolt the stand to a bench - just set it up on a coffee table, lol. There seems to be different versions of this stand - so if you buy one, make sure you get the latest version that has the thru-axle adapter. Given this stand will get you the same outcome as the much more expensive industry standard made by Park, for a home-use wheel builder, I don't think you can go wrong with it.

The truing stand allowed me to build a new wheelset that was very true; however, the thru axle adapter did not hold the wheel in the groves very well. It could be improved.

I live in rural USA and have to work on my bikes. I had to have my wheel trued and I'll say I don't have that skill mastered. I had to have a friend help me. He did a great job getting the wheel true. He also said it needed some washers at the bottom but he was able to use it no problem.

There is so much flex in this stand, especially where the feet of the base meets the blue steel arms. Wheels wobble like crazy when you give them a spin. Not good for truing. The feeler arm mounts are made out of cheap cast metal and did not fit at all. I couldn't bolt it together. Plus the feeler arms themselves don't allow for fine adjustment, making it a pain to do the final bit of truing.
