I needed a brush to clean the tread of my boots and these are great. There are two brushes of each type of bristle: stainless steel, nylon, and brass. Each is 7 inches long, which is a good size for my small hands. They might be a little small for a man’s large hand. They have a rubber grip on the end, but the handles are a little skinny and hard to easily hold. Even so, I was able to clean the tread of my boots, just as I had hoped. Two of the bristle types were not strong enough for this job, but the third one worked great. Make no mistake though, the bristles on the stainless steel and the brass brushes are strong and very sharp. Twice I poked my finger and thought I was going to draw blood!I like how skinny the head is, which is perfect for my particular cleaning job, and any other cleaning job with a narrow crevice. I like that the head of the brush has bristles at two different angles. The curved handle also makes it easier to get in those tight spots. Overall, these worked great for my job, and can be used for a variety of cleaning needs.
