This unit was a direct bolt into my unit. Very easy to install. It is very thick alum, bar. so, if you only have a hack saw then you'll be there for a little bit. Me I have a metal lath that did the job quick and clean. Now the trolling motor won't be bounce around as you go the road.

Does a great job at stabilizing motor. Perfect fit. Follow instructions close. I nailed mine but measure twice and cut once as you get one chance.

Well made and perfect brace for the trolling motor. Holds the motor firm and stops vibration while boating and of course, driving down bumpy roads on the way to the launch!

Worked perfectly on my new Fortrex. Keeps the unit from bouncing around in rough water

Exactly as described. Recommend adding a dab of silicone to keep the bumpers from falling off. Took 15 min's to measure, cut and install. This item should be included with the trolling motor purchase, shame on Minn Kota!

Super easy install. Have a sawzall or jig saw handy to cut to length. I used a hack saw. Wasn’t fun but got the job done. Motor is rock solid now

Perfect fit. Cutting the bar was easier than I thought. The instructions explain exactly how much to cut. Only thing I added was some silicone to the plastic feet at each end to keep them from flying off.I only wish I knew about this sooner. The deck of my boat was getting torn up from the motor arm after years of slamming through the waves on St Clair. Sad that the Fortrex doesn't come with this stabilizer from the factory...

Well, it works. The first one worked too before I cut it wrong. 😔. Thank God I found this
