I check the runout on things. Also, flatness. This works. It has a black dial face with mitutoyo in red. Looks pretty good. I can see it just as good as a white face. The arm thing is long. I use this as an advantage to measure things that may have some depth or when I need extra reach to something somewhere. This is built pretty good too. Do not drop it, though. That would suck. Comes in a nice hard plastic box with everything in it. You can drop that. I have one of them articulating noga arms with the fine tuner on it. Works good with this indicator. So thats it, I think. Is it worth the money? Yeah, probably. I mean, I use the cheaper ones that my work provides because I got to. But sometimes, when theyre not looking, I use this instead and it helps me keep just a slight hit more of my sanity.
