I use it everyday for quick measurements while machining parts. It does what it's made to do, very well. I highly recommend if you're looking for a 6" steel rule.

First and foremost, the angle is correct and the divisions are accurate. The tool is entirely usable, no question. Then again, I think any brand would give you this much.I have other Mitutoyo tools and they are all phenomenal. Just a joy to use. These, on the other hand, were a bit of a disappointment right out of the box. The hook arm at the bottom did not sit straight and parallel with the base of the scale it was skewed forward slightly. It can be adjusted but it always seems to be just slightly off. Still usable as it leans forward (or back) so the edges are still inline with the very end of the scale. Just expected a bit better.Now, after about only 2 weeks of use, the name badge is wearing off. To be fair it is only stamped on whereas the rest of the wording and info is engraved but still.The sliding angle gauge is a bit rough in the way it moves but again, still entirely functional but I was expecting the quality I received in my other Mits and it just isn't there. I paid more than a knockoff brand because I wanted the extra quality and I feel that I did not get it.Despite this all being very nitpick-y issues I kinda feel like I should have just paid double and gotten the Starrett version.I don't know, I am judging them pretty harshly but I really am a bit let down.

I originally bought a General tools version of this product, but it is fairly cheaply made. It supposedly had more features and capabilities, but I would much rather have this tool instead. The markings are much easier to read, it can double as a hook rule, and the movable stop can be re-attached in different orientations depending on what you're doing at the time. For what it costs, I think it's a far better tool.
