Have had this valve cover on for about 3 months now without any problems. It fit very well and install was a breeze. The gasket fit and formed well. The hardware that was provided is nice and also fit well,(very well coated so it won’t corrode easy). It definitely adds to the look of the engine with the bright silver coating. The coating is also very smooth but very tough and does not scratch easily. So far, so good! I was not sure how this was going to turn out as far as the fit due to an aftermarket aluminum part vs the factory composite part so I took a chance and tried it. I have used this brand of aluminum products on other vehicles such as oil filter housings and have not had any problems whatsoever so far. I would recommend using this brand as a replacement for the plastic valve covers and oil filter housings as aluminum does not crack easily, last longer,( if not forever) on vehicles. Aluminum is definitely the way to go rather than the composite,( plastic) components due to the way it withstands heat allot better than plastic. The trick is to find something that will fit like the factory part and last longer without spending a fortune. This in my opinion is it.

I’m giving it a 4 stars because the fitment is perfect and it is way better than the crack-prone plastic OEM cover - However, I started having a “fuel mixture Too Rich†code after installing this. Hard to say if the PCV system is causing it or not because I also replaced the turbo at the same time, but I did not have the issue beforehand and I have heard generic valve covers can cause it.So at the price point, I think it’s definitely worth a shot because fitment was great and the car runs with no leaks. It looks amazing too. But just remember you are taking a chance versus other name brands. If I can go back, I would try to run it before changing the turbo to see if it caused the too rich code.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR Money. This piece doesn’t not fit perfectly. It will fit into the same place, but the bolts are slightly different and the bolts won’t fit in and hold the other pieces that go in the front or back of the cover right (like the vacuum pump) just pay a bit extra for the OEM product.I wanted it to fit so bad and try it, and nope. It’s off by just a few few small millimeters here and millimeters there, and that can cause more leakage.

I have a 2014 BMW 528i when it all of a sudden would start smoking after the engine got hot, needless to say when I was on the highway I could use the A/C with no problem, but the minute I got off and would have to stop at lights or signs it would smoke like crazy even come into the A/C that I would have to turn it off.I first bought the gasket thinking that would fix it and also oil leak 'fixers' none of them worked, Finally I decided to buy this but was hesitant at first.Got it installed it,it came with the gaskets already on and all the hardware and sure enough it stopped the embarrassing smoke and of course fixed my problem and car. That plastic valve cover my car came with is now in the trash and replaced with metal.Only time can tell how long it will last.If you're on the fence on buying this and are having the same issues that I described get it this should fix your problem!

Ordered the parts and took it to my mechanic to install. He mentioned this was better than any other plastic alternatives. Would order again but hoping it never comes to that.

Good product and much cheaper than OEM. The oil cap was the first place to start leaking but it is very very minor.
