This bow is a wonderful bargain for the price and it feels great to play on. I play viola because my arms are too long to comfortably play violin and the bow suits this perfectly. The weight is good for precise playing.

The natural Mongolian hair has good "bite"; Brazilwood stick looks great. I like the octagonal stick (most student bows are not octagonal). Right in the middle of the usual range for viola bows, it weighs 2.5 oz. - 70.8 g. (For me, I wish it was a little heavier.) Beats the fiberglass bow with synthetic "hair" that came with the viola!.
