I'm not a coffee snob, I'm a connoisseur...lolJust kidding I like the tactile idea of having to grind my own coffee beans...For quite a few years I ground them by hand using a manual crank single serve grinder.Actually I went through three of those...Then I got a roommate and in his infinite laziness complained that having to grind your own coffee beans by hand was way too much work...So I figured technology should have advanced far enough by now to have mini electric conical grinders that don't take up a quarter of your kitchen counter space...I was right and found a few fairly expensive ones... Then I found this one for an outrageously sensible price...The main complaint I read about it was that the grinder was unable to maintain a consistent grind. I discovered that this was due to the fact that the grind adjustment knob has nothing to grip to and turns in the same direction that the grind mechanism does.Basically becoming loose as the grinder operates.I solved this by removing the knob and taking some clear fingernail enamel and lightly brushing the underside metal part of the knob that comes in contact with the plastic insert of the bottom conical burr.(allowing it to dry disassembled of course) doing this allowed the knob to have enough grip and friction to prevent itself from becoming loosened from the mechanical action of the grinder. This thing works beautifully maintains a consistent grind and even has Auto shut-off.Is it lightning quick no? no miniature conical grinder truly is... But anyone complaining it taking more than a single minute to grind up two cups worth of beans just needs to take a seat and relax... Or better yet wash your cup and get your coffee maker ready...Battery life is great in my opinion.I believe you can get up to 7 grinds out of it before you can hear the grinder start to lose power... It also seems to be capable of quick charging. As well as having LED indicators to let you know when it is charging and when it is complete. This thing is awesome...

I'm not a picky person, but this product really did dissapoint. I needed it, so I was hoping to either love it, or be okay with it. However I CANT even use this! The first photo shows a large chip out of the ceramic burr. This will cause an uneven grind. The entire purpose of a ceramic burr grinder IS for a consistent grind.. The ceramic arrived to me chipped, lumpy, uneven, and DIRTY! There are brown spots, black residue - some even seems to be molded into the ceramic. I attempted to clean with the included brush, and the bristles began to fall out, and inevitably got caught into the grinder. :( Gettong ready to pack this back up, I also noticed little bits of ceramic grains in the bottom of the glass! (picture 3) This was the final straw. I just wanted to hand grind coffee.. I didn't want bits of ceramic brewing in my grounds. I wanted an even ground for my French press and Chemex, but the uneven ceramic burrs wouldn't allow this. I'm highly dissapointed in the quality of this product. I don't know if I got a product that skipped over quality control, or what. I've never returned an item on Amazon. This will be my first. I'm hoping the company will assist me.PROS:•Price•Includes a storage jar (plastic lid unfortunately)CONS:•Poorly made•Difficult to adjust grind size (you have to disassemble the top)•plastic lid for jar•uneven ceramic burrs•handle remains loose•Ceramic grinds into your coffee (NOT healthy!)This product seems underdeveloped. I haven't yet used mine because I plan to return. I do not feel comfortable drinking ground ceramic!

We've been spoiled by having wonderful coffee grinders for years. When our last one died, this was the best one I could find. Overall it works fine EXCEPT it shuts itself off in the middle of grinding. Give it a shake and it starts up again but this unplanned, unwanted auto shut off is annoying. Usually it happens once or twice/grind cycle when I'm grinding a weeks worth of beans. For that reason I can't give it 5 starts and wouldn't recommend it nor purchase it again.

This is my second unit and I use it everyday. I like the grinder and have no issue recommending it to anyone. That said, I'd recommend Mixpresso to consider changing the product on how the top piece (motor) is locked to the middle piece (grinder). As I have highlighted in the attached picture, the locking mechanism is based on the two little "insets" which I think are not strong enough. The motor is quite powerful and the plastic insets locking pieces will eventually break. This is how my first one was broken. My second unit so far is performing well and I hope the locking part will stay intact

I am quite happy with it. I really like the extra glass container. To have to take the handle off to adjust the grind does not really bother me, because I leave it at the same fine grind all the time.It takes quite some time to grind coffee for one cup, but I guess it is because I have it quite fine.It grinds well, and the price is good.I can recommend it.

One star removed since it took me forever to adjust the grind to the size I needed. It's very finicky. Also, the locking screw on top - that you'll need to remove to make these adjustments - very easy to crossthread it, since it's not a round bolt (it's notched). Once the adjustment is the way I wanted, I'm not touching it again! Hopefully the grind size will stay as set.

Doesn’t work, give me a refund. It’s in the garbage. Amazon is really slacking with good products.

Great for bringing camping, kind of slow, takes about 5 minutes to grind the beans, other than that it's great. It turns off automatically when it's done grinding, so you can turn it on and do other things while you wait. If you are looking for speed, do not purchase this item.
