Step 1
Insert a SIM Card Eject tool or a paperclip into the small hole in the iPhone SE SIM Tray, located near the side button on the edge of the iPhone SE.
Step 2
Press firmly to eject the tray.

We thought perhaps it was a wrong part but upon being assured it was correct found that the slot had incorrectly inserted sim chip and it broke. Returned and now need new sim and phone
