Had been learning with a Glasser fiberglass bow for two years when I got this. After a short adjustment period, this bow has made a huge difference in my playing. It makes it easier to play longer notes and it is well balanced for shorter strokes played with wrist movement. Notes have stronger fundamentals and less harmonics. A couple bow hairs came loose and I had to cut them off. Overall well worth the price!

I don't normally write reviews but this one just had to have it. Hopefully, this review will help some of you get rid with that same sketchy hesitant feeling of purchasing a bow that's less than $200.Comparison from my $300 carbon fiber bow-Warm tone and mellow attack compared to the carbon fiber with brighter tone and sharp attack-Smooth bow hair very refined and a lot less scratchy.. And yes this also depends on your technique.All in all definitely great for soloing-A lot less effort to play on and surprisingly lighter than my carbon fiber bow.-Aesthetically, I just love the embossed branding...lol, very solid In feel and it feels like a $500-$800 bows-Best part.....the price

For the price, this is an excellent bow. I came with the proper camber to the stick, the frog adjusts smoothly, and the hair had no problems. The grain of the wood runs true, and I could find no point where the grain runs 'out the side' of the stick. It compares relatively favorably with bows in the $150.00 to $250.00 range, although it is important to note that the quality between bows will vary widely at this low price point. On a scale of 1 to 100, the bow would get a solid 70 or 75 for balance, which is impressive at this price.The reason that this is a four star review instead of a five star review is due to the fact that the finishing could have been better. There are some small tooling marks in the frog as well as the wood of the stick, and one of the mother of pearl inlays has what I would consider a 'blemished' quality piece. On the other hand, I would rather have had the bow for the price I paid for it, rather than spend extra money for better finishing. Nor would I have preferred to have a prettier bow that was less functional. You can polish out blemishes if you want; it is nearly impossible to fix a bad stick.I paired this bow with Carlsson rosin and it took perhaps an hour and a half or so to play the bow in. If there are significant changes I will update this review.The bottom line is this: This is a solid bow for the price, especially for someone who needs a bow quickly or cheaply.

I’ve owned this bow for about 6 months now and it has done me good. It plays amazingly especially in a baroque or romantic era style music. While I’ve been completed on the bow multiple times by professional musicians, it does come with some flaws. Be warned that the bow hair is not so strong. I highly recommend once you receive it get it rehaired asap. Also the bow is slight bent but that should be expected when being shipped. Otherwise it is a high quality bow for the price you’re paying. Highly recommend for advanced high school-college bass players
