Over the years we’ve had severalWine decanters and this is by far the nicest. It comes with bands to ensure the seal between the glass and the rubber stopper is sealed. This is where others have failed or leaked. The packaging is nice and the cleaning beads are so helpful. Ideal decanter!

Innovative design allows good decanting but also allows an easy way to refill the bottle for those who don't finish the whole bottle of wine in one sitting. Easy clean especially with the ball bearing cleaners.

In the many years that I've enjoyed wine, I have long wanted an easy way to decant wine then return the wine to the bottle. I can do that with this. That way the wine is double aerated. When I first used this, I tasted the wine straight from the bottle, then I aerated the wine and tasted it again. It made a real difference.I want to give one mention of warning. Decant the wine, then when you put it back into the bottle I strongly recommend you do that with the decanter in the sink. You will get some leakage but clean-up is easy if you do this part in the sink.Overall, I am very pleased with this decanter system and I have used it many times!I highly recommend this to any wine lover!

Awesome decanter! Great value, easy to use: pour wine into decanter with no spilling, back into bottle and vacuum seal, etc.. Easy to clean. The decanting really improves the taste of red wine, and this is an attractive and effective gadget. I have since bought a couple for presents. Great gift!

Finally figured out what the two rubber gasket are used for. They go around where the glass meets the aerator top. Helps with leaks that may occur when it goes upside down. The inside of the gasket has a little ridge and that ridge fits right between the glass and aerator.

I absolutely love how much more airy and robust my wine tastes after simulating my wine through this exquisite decanter. Incredible design and very elegant decor. Not to mention, terrific conversation starter. A must have for other peer wine connoisseurs

I saw one similar to this being used at a restaurant, so I bought one for my friends for Christmas. They love it! They keep using it and showing it off to others!

There aren’t a whole lot of “modern innovations†at play here: this is clearly a slightly smaller, cheaper version of a Menu product, which I suspect is sadly gone out of production. The carafe seems much lighter (it’s 450g vs 710g). The original could hold up the bottle while you were decanting, I would literally walk away and do other things, the same for pouring back (we’d do that immediately and only use the decanter for aerating). If you try that with this one, you’re in for some clean-up, the … “gasket†that holds the bottle, slowly comes out of the carafe and when at an angle, the bottle falls off the … “nipple.â€This one comes with a cork screw (terrible) and some cleaning pellets (they do remove stuff, but after 20 mins of swirling, my old Menu was still quite reddish - admittedly, a *lot* of wines took the trip through it over the 15-ish years, so probably not unreasonable, but I still suspect hydrogen peroxide does a better job). So, is it worth the money? I think so. I’d have gotten another Menu (the gasket/nipple thingie started leaking) if it was still around, but it isn’t, and given a little more attention, this does do the same thing. Do I wish they had put a little more efforts into designing it? Say a little innovation? Yes, I think it could have been a better product (albeit at a higher price), but it does what it does at a price that won’t kill you, and as opposed to a lot of cheap knock-off products that are all form, no function, I think this can keep aerating wine for a while. At a third of the price of the Menu, if it lasts 5y, I shouldn’t complain.Update: Well, it didn’t. The same spigot that ended up leaking after 25ish years on my Menu, has now thrown the towel on this one. After six months.
