Works great. I used some tinsnips to shave off a little to fit in my 4" gutters. Otherwise, easy to install, very sturdy and looks great.

This is a very nice piece for the rain chain application. But there is one catch, the flange is wider than the bottom of a standard gutter. I used some sheet metal snips to trim to fit my gutter, took an extra minute of my time. I think the value of this is that it is usable on different gutter applications (would rather too much material than too little) but you just need tin snips to get the job done.Another option to consider is the "Monarch Rain Chains 20041 Aluminum Mill Finish Gutter Adapter for Rain Chain Installation, Standard" that may not actually need trimming.

Looks great with the rain chain we have. It took my dad and I less than 20 minutes to get it installed. The only complaint is that the piece with the four holes in it gets clogged too easily with small leaves and such. We just took ours out, and haven't had a problem since.

This is a good quality piece. I did end up returning it because it didn't fit in my gutter. Apparently I have narrow gutters that are around 2 1/2" at the bottom.

We have 6†gutters and this adapter is too wide because the gutters taper in. I am having to pay a machine shop to cut down both pieces to fit. I ordered the smaller adapter but the hole is narrower and won’t filter as much volume of water. I would think the manufacturer would figure out how to make these so they fit in standard gutters.

My gutter contractor - who's been in business for nearly 40 years - had never before SEEN a rain chain so hadn't a clue how to install one. I was away at the time so he just cut a round hole in the bottom of the gutter and dropped the copper chain through it - and it worked poorly. I purchased this unit and needed to drill-out one of the side holes to fit the enclosed bolt, and then used a tin-snips to shape the flange to fit flush in the bottom of the gutter. I then painted it white to match and mounted it with a bead of silicone caulk. It works perfectly!

This installation kit did the job in the end, but it's made for a 6" eaves trough, so we had to cut it in order to get it to fit into our 5" eaves. Other than that, it works well and we are happy with it. But remember to consider the size of your eaves as it may not fit without some extra effort on your part.

Bought this for attaching a rain chain to our gutters; but this adapter did not fit no matter what we tried. My husband stated he could have cut it to size, but that would have meant there was very little of the sides of both the piece that is to hold the adapter in place in the gutter and the adapter itself. It is good quality but doesn't appear to fit most regular gutters. Too bad, it was quite nice quality though.

Product itself looked fine... but the dimensions for all the parts were not included. The steel square plate was way too big for our eavestroff. Tried to return it and ended up being charged $$ shipping amount! Not impressed.
