I wanted to run my speaker wires in the wall for my surround sound speakers instead of having it laying on the floor. Its about 40 feet to each rear surround speaker so I went with the 12 gauge and I'm very happy with this product and the results. Was easy to pull through the walls and the speakers sounds great.

I used this wire on a tricky car stereo install into an '89 Suburban & it was perfect. The jacket is plenty durable, but not so tough it's hard to cut. It's considerably flexible too for forming it up & over bends.Plenty of copper strands inside too. Very easy to work with. Not cheap springy copper like you'll sometimes encounter.Overall, for the price, this speaker wire is fantastic.

I need to run a new home theater setup with a Marantz AVR SR 5015 with a whole Elac speaker package. Let me say wow. This is a great setup. No joke, I don’t like the harshness of Klipsch speaker, so this set up is too sweet with the Elac and Marantz sound especially with these cables. Warm sound, crisp dialogue in your chest Bass. This setup up is the AVR listed and Elac Debut 2.0 and Elac sub 1010 with the Monoprice subwoofer cable.

I ordered and received Monoprice cable. Sheathing on the wire says monoprice.I'm not an audiophile but PLEASE don't get taken in by the "High end" cable and wire marketing demons... unless you are Superman or a dog and have Uber hearing, save the $$$ for your electronic where it matters.Used this wire to create my own beefy coax speaker cables to replace the "too short" cables that came with my Vizio 5.1 soundbar /sattelite speaker system (the 54 inch system here on Amazon... great system by the way)I used the monoprice premium RCA plugs also here on Amazon. People say those plugs are too hard to soldier the wires too. Yes, if you don't know how to solder properly this you'll make a mess and blame it on the product. I'm not an expert solderer but I watched a lot of youtube videos and looked at pics. And then I practiced a bit with a decent soldering iron. I made no mistakes and the cables worked perfectly the first time.12 gauge copper speaker wire is perfect for making your own speaker cables. It was slightly too large for what I did with the RCA plugs... but I made it work. 14 or 16 gauge wire woild have fit nicer and probaly sufficuent for this purpose but i wanted 12. Teach yourself how to solder, use a good soldering iron atbthe right temp for your solder wire, tin the tips of the copper speaker wires first (not an optional step) and have at it. Proper solder temp is important for solid strong solder points. And... don't hold the iron too long to the copper wire as you might melt the cabling sheathing . I actually probably held it too long but the sheathing on this monoprice wire held up jist fine. I now have 5.1 surround sound :-) running cables in the attic space? Solder your wires first :-)

I used the 12/2 CL2 speaker wire to make some DIY cables for my sound system and couldn't be happier! Can't go wrong with Monoprice speaker wire. Easy to use and great quality.I would agree with others who stated that the outer PVC jacket is slightly "loose" on the two conductors but has NO negative effect on usability or sound quality...at this price point, I have zero complaints. 10/10 would buy again.

Excellent wire, but the wire memory makes it aLittle hard to pull through small openings in the wall or ceiling. I would still buy it again.

High quality cable at what was the best price per foot I found. No issues from the wires other than the coils were a bit of work to unwind but the setup sounds great.

The wire is very thick and well shielded. I needed wire to run in-wall and up through the attic for installing rear speakers on the ceiling and this worked great. The sound is good and it was easy to work with.

Cable de calidad a muy buen precio.La cubierta blanca es flexible y blanda, los cables se mueven libremente dentro de la cubierta, esto facilita la instalación.Muy recomendable para la instalación de tu sistema de sonido.

very good wire but if you are running under carpet its a bit thick because of the plastic its wrapped in.

Its good quality cable, easily indentifiable polarity. The outer protection sheath is not tightly bound to the inner cores. For running through walls or under floorboards or anywhere thats enclosed this is fine however for under carpets where you may be treading on the area this will likely be noticeable.

I have these as my Side Surrounds, I ONLY(mostly) play Sports and Racing Games. MLB 16(PS4) - I am hearing subtle noises like nothing I knew was even possible in a videogame, NHL 17 has crowd sounds that are "right-in-that-arena" hyper realistic sounding. Fifa 17 same as above. Remember? THEY HAVE TO PROGRAM THOSE SOUNDS IN! As for Blu-ray movies you name the movie and the sound you should be hearing during that moment and these speakers can handle it. I originally had a 'Sony 5.1 System' about 10 years ago - you do not buy Sony for Sound because they have inferior sounding equiptment, so I upgraded to a Onkyo 7.1 HT5600(HTIB - "Home Theatre In A Box") was very happy. BUUUUT, I kept on hearing about the legendary BOSE Sound(I would see a commercial on TV and be critical of the price being so expensive because, "It is JUST a clock that HAS BOSE speakers inside", why does it cost $$$? It's a FRIGGIN Clock?!!?). Then a FutureShop Flyer came in the mail listing a 7.1 BOSE Surround Sound System for $850, regularly $1200. Why not? I am hearing(still, even 3 years later) that I did not think were possible to be heard. ALL BOSE Speakers have Brilliant sound, these particular speakers in general may not deliver the "big oomph" sounds but they still are damn great speakers to fill out higher-end Entertainment Rooms. A few examples, EVERY(I mean EVERY) time anything happens in MLB 16(PS4) I turn my head to see what is over there, DriveClub with its amazing sound effects especially during Thunder Storms it literally sounds like the Storm is in my room(even my 5 year old niece turned her head - even though we knew what our eyes were seeing - to see what was happening!). A movie example would have to be 'Braveheart' when William Wallace comes back for revenge on his horse and draws his sword(nails on a chalk board doesn't annoy me), that slidding-ching still gives me chills just think about it, or, in 'Troy' at the beginning when Achilles is summoned and that boy runs past the dog to get him - there is bug flying around. The last one will be, when 'Homer Simpson Gains Weight', the first "official" day of work where Santa's Little Helper goes to lie down but walks in a circle first(Dogs were bred to protect their master - or, HUMANS! - so they circle to smell what way the wind is blowing) and Homer pushes him to the ground, there is a bird outside people. Everything has to be programmed in for Video Games AND for Movies, but this is a 21-year-old episode this past November 5! My Music example: 'Money' by Pink Floyd, EVERY speaker is used at the start of the song when the Cash Registers are getting used. Bottom Line, these Speakers are soooooooo good at Subtle sounds. *This is the same review that I posted for the BOSE Speakers*. I was using a thin RCA Gage Wire then I HEARD THESE(I got them on sale from the legendary Wire Outlet on the 'Net). I right away heard the difference as described above! I DID NOT hear any of the DiveClub Thunder Storm Sounds with the RCA Gage.
