Exactly as described and works perfectly as surface protectors for spike feet. I use these to support spiked speaker stands for Dynaudio Contour 20i speakers standing on a tile floor. In terms of sound, using the spikes with the isolation spike pads appeared to increase speaker isolation which made the bass seem tighter/less "muddy" and the the overall sound subtly better defined.

These would get 5 stars if there was a way to attach the spikes to the speaker base.Threaded or more easily with double-sided adhesive (which I did), but none is included.

As a high-end audiophile, I've come to the conclusion that you usually always get what you pay for. I've tried low priced "giant killers" that didn't even give them a good fight and I've listened to real expensive things that didn't seem to do a thing....TO MY EARS. I usually have to pay some serious money to get the kind of sound quality that I want. I started small and worked my way up and through it all, at this point, I seem to have fallen into this way of thinking. That is, When I buy high dollar cables, footers, turntable mats, tweaks, etc,. I figure that it will improve what I hear in my system, but I hope it doesn't. If it doesn't then most times, it can be returned and other times, it can easily be resold. Since I study and do my homework, I'm "right" about 98 percent of the time, as I groan about my bank account.So, now we come to the Monosaudio Speaker Spike Floor Protectors 39x13mm Speaker Isolation Feet Stainless Steel pucks. The ad says that they are not just for speakers but for just about any component. I wasn't going to put them under my speakers but how about my new "toy", a Zidoo z20 pro? These pucks are so inexpensive could they actually make a difference in sound quality? The Zidoo is so inexpensive that can the sound quality be bettered? I first played a Dolby Atmos rip of The Beatles, Abbey Road in stereo and then Atmos. Well, ugh. It's a good thing that I didn't buy the Zidoo for stereo playback, but Atmos was, "listenable". Now, let's put the Monosaudio pucks under the Zidoo and repeat the test. Wow! Stereo was less congested with space between the instruments. Not "night and day" but defiantly noticeable. Atmos opened up even more so. Would it do so for you? It depends on how resolving your system is, I'm sure. These pucks sure don't look like much, and I really thought that I wouldn't hear any difference, good or bad, so I was pleasantly surprised with what I heard for so little money. They are staying under the Zidoo and I may order another set for experimentation. A solid value.

Planning to buy more for use with my pre/pro, surrounds and subwoofer. At $23 for a 4 pack, it’s expensive for what it is but is crafted nicely between the stainless steel and black POM stuff. It will probably be the best and least amount of money you’ll spend on your hi-fi equipment with the most noticeable improvements unlike those unreasonably price interconnects, speaker wire and other expenses. Highly recommended as a gift to anyone who enjoys audio.

I wanted to use these on my sub....no hardware or installation included, and I couldn't find a work around solution(screws) unless I used 3m adhesive disc which seller recommended....unfortunately I wasn't will to use adhesive on my custom Brazilian Rosewood veneered sub.
