I used a pair of these to replace a set of TRQ struts that are only about 6 months old. These are quiet. Didn't raise my front end. Should of went with these as my first choice. Fit for my 2009 malibu was perfect. Ride is drastically smoother over the TRQ brand. Very Happy with them.

The Quick Strut assemblies make a home-mechanic's job so much easier, and less dangerous too.Our G6 had developed noisy upper bearings in the struts, which translated to a grinding sound when the wheels were steered.The Monroe units fit perfectly, the ride is great, and we are totally satisfied.

Old high mileage Pontiac was about to drag the front end into the ground. These struts brought the front end back up to OEM height. Ride quality improved substantially. I would buy again.

I purchased this strut in October 2015 (along with 172200) for my 2010 Chevy Malibu. The fact that the strut is already assembled and does not require compressing springs made installation a cinch.Fast-forward 2 years and I have now put about 30,000 miles on these. What I can say is that they have held up pretty well (thats saying alot given how poor the conditions are on the roads in Central Massachusetts). I think my biggest issue with these struts are the ride quality. The ride with these are not as smooth as the OEM struts. I also have a 2010 Pontiac G6 that uses the same exact strut and I replaced those with the OEM strut. The ride in the Pontiac was notably smoother upon installation . With that said, the OEM strut seems to be degrading faster. So at the end of the day it seems to be a trade off. I would buy these again, but they are not perfect.

Installed these struts in my 2010 Malibu to replace the original struts with 105,000 miles. What a significant improvement in ride quality and steering! If you need good struts and don’t want to spend a fortune on high performance struts for your daily driver, these are the struts to buy.Highly recommended.

Exact same part as on Monroe site. Exact same part sold by NAPA Auto Parts. NAPA site uses same photos and same part number with one letter added to front or back. I saved 50% buy8ing here. One word of caution. Read the description carefully...and go to Monroe or NAPA site for part number verification. Description on Amazon site do not make it clear that there is a left/driver's side and right/passenger side to these struts.

I bought the Monroe's to replace another brand that I just installed 3 years ago. So far, so good. Nice ride and no more rattling squeaky struts. We'll see if I get more than 3 years with these.

Good quality product, comparable to OEM strut but half the price. No surprises and fits like a glove.Had a broken spring. Technically all that needed to be replaced, but didn't want to fool around with having to compress a new spring to install it. Not to keen on the chance that the spring may snap out of compression (violently) while handling it. Instead, I just replaced the whole strut assembly. So much easier and safer in my opinion. Replace both sides so as to have equal suspension stiffness from driver-passenger side. Easy enough to do yourself and save without having to go to garage and pay for labor and markup on parts (with usually end being jobbers at OEM prices).Safety first! Always use jack stands and chalk the tires when working underneath or partially under the car.
