I raise monarch butterflies from the eggs I find until I release them. I also give talks about them occasionally and these are a great help in explaining the different stages they go through! They are perfect for age 6 through adult. Also for younger kids with supervision. My last group was a group of senior citizens.

My son been asking for this for a year. I didn’t understand why. He’s 5. Seemed like a silly toy but he really loved it. It’s very realistic and durable.

Used these when my daughter had to do a project on the life cycle of an ant. They were great! It came with a clay 3D version of the cycle and a picture to go along with the 3D clay version. The picture also the name of what the picture was. My daughter, like most children, told me last minute about the project and they got here very fast! Very durable and nice. Would recommend.

Good basic life cycle models of the monarch butterfly. My grandkids. The cards though are a little odd. There is a card for 'larva' which shows young caterpillars and another card for 'caterpillar' which shows a larger caterpillar. There isn't a card for the eggs. The chrysalis card is labeled 'pupa,' which is correct, but I would prefer it to also include the word chrysalis. And yes, young children can handle big words that are important to them.

I purchased these for our local library while they raised Monarchs for the kiddos to watch. These were great for the kids to get up close and touch and learn without harming a real caterpillar or butterfly.
