Originally bought a Wahoo HRM (Heart Rate Monitor). Too expensive and started reading inaccurate (just old and well used). Found Moofit at a good price. I bought two, and about to buy another one. Both brands are great, but this one is more affordable. The strap is plenty long enough for bigger bodies too. My husband and I use the Wahoo app with it, and it works just fine. Initial set up is fine, but can take a second, especially when we were trying to connect both, each to our own phones, at the same time. Sometimes it takes Wahoo a fat second to connect, and for us, we had to make sure the old Wahoo HRM was completely deleted before our new HRM would work on the app. So basically only one HRM on Wahoo app works best. We tried to put more than one (like have old Wahoo HRM and new Moofit to choose and use from), and just wouldn’t work for us. We also noticed it was not good to try to rename our HRM in the Wahoo app or we had connections problems. So stick with whatever weird name it has. (Some techie is probably saying no duh. Hey, we like to mess with stuff. Haha) Anyway, if we’ve had problems it was usually the app and not the HRM with the issues. Here are some tricks we learned though. After you already have your HRM all set up and connected to the app you want and you know your connection usually works fine with your HRM, if your HRM won’t connect then try wetting the plastic part of the belt. While it’s strapped to me I dip my fingers in a bowl of water and then run them on the plastic part of the strap that touches the skin. (Good old electrical concepts.) Works every time. If it doesn’t then it may be your heart is beating slower, so it might not connect until you start exercising and your heart rate increases. Here is why I mention this… For a long time, even with Wahoo HRM, we couldn’t figure out why my husband had such a hard time connecting, but I didn’t. We kept replacing good batteries. However, when we bought two Moofit HRM and mine worked just fine but my husband’s still didn’t, we started to experiment. We would switch, and once again I was just fine but not my husband. However, after starting to exercise, his HRM would magically start to work. Well, he has an enlarged heart, and his heart beats way slower than mine. Plus men’s hearts naturally beat slower than women. So once my husband gets his heart pumping a bit then he has no problems connecting. Hopefully these tips help some that struggle with their HRM connections. Otherwise, it’s usually the app (sorry this review is for the Wahoo app only), the Bluetooth connection (your phone/device?), a bad HRM, or some other unknown problem (like Moofit does have a left and right side so make sure to snap it on correctly, and yes, unsnap and clean your salty sweat off after use.) So far, we like the Moofit. We’ve had ours since June 2021 and still on the same battery with exercising 3-4 times a week for 1-1.5 hours. We were sad when we lost one while hiking/camping, so we’re buying another one.

I ordered one of these many years ago for biking. I lost it so decided to give it another try. Worked fine, just like the last one. Something I had trouble with initially was connecting to strava. This was because I had already connected the device to my phone via bluetooth. Once I removed (forgot) the connection on my phone and opened the strava app back up, it saw it and connected right away.

Like everyone else I am looking for a great product at a fair price, but I would forego all of that just to have this piece of worthless plastic work. Never bought a HRM and now I know why, it is because I like things easy, but this is not. I paired it with the wahoo app as they suggested and worked for a couple of days, then it went coblewy on me, and between changing batteries and deleting and re-installing the apps, as well as taken the cover off the HRM because that is the only on/off switch that I know of. The device was still not able to pair to my iphone, so I am done with this!

This HR sensor has a much better price than other more expensive HR sensors.Just in case someone is looking for a reasonably priced Heart Rate sensor that works with Wahoo apps. This one paired up with my Wahoo fitness app, no problem.I a 2020 V5 Wahoo Kickr. The Wahoo apps I use while riding the trainer now have heart rate displaying.TIP:Make sure the sensor is not paired up with your Android phone first or the Wahoo app will not find it. The Wahoo app has to have sole access to the sensor.I paired up the sensor to my Android phone first to make sure it could see the HR sensor. It paired up no problem with my phone. But then the Wahoo app would not pair up. So I told Android to forget the HR sensor. Then I went back to the Wahoo app and it paired up with the sensor.Just some info in case someone else has an issue trying to pair up the sensor.

I use this to connect directly to my Apple Watch. Why do this when the Apple Watch already has a heart rate sensor? Well, if you do any sort of strength training where you're gripping barbells or dumbbells, I have found that the action of gripping sometimes makes the accuracy of the Apple Watch suspect. Sometimes it loses your heart rate all together.Using a third party hart rate monitor - specifically on the chest - not only increases the HR accuracy, but also the sample frequency.I used a polar HR monitor for several years in this way. In fact, I used two. The first one died after about 16 months. The second one died after about the same amount of time. Frustrated with their support, I decided to take a chance on this monitor, which for about a third the price takes the same measurements, and accuracy as the Polar chest strap. I've used this now several days a week through many sweaty workouts and it has been great. Always connects, and does its job. Highly recommended.

Bought this to use as a heart monitor with my Fluid2/Interchange sensor setup for riding Rouvy. Paired with the app right away, no problems.

The only thing I didn’t like about it was the metal strap that had a plastic covering possibly to protect it from rust, after 8 months of use the plastic cover on the metal started to peel off.
