I bought this 3-spline pitman for my 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD truck, 6.0 gas motor. I had read that most of the 2500s use a 3-spline, and most 1500s use a 4-spline, but not necessarily -- took a chance and got lucky.I picked the Moog HD pitman because it wasn't much different in price than other options, and Moog parts are usually decent quality. Replacing the pitman arm on these trucks is kind of a PITA, so I didn't want to get a cheap part that'd require replacement again soon.So far so good. No issues installing the new arm. Note that many aftermarket pitman arms do not fit down onto the splines as far as the OEM pitman -- this is not a problem so long as you can get the lock washer and nut fully onto the splines. A big wrench is your friend when torquing it in place.

Installed on my 04' GMC Sierra 2500HD. Used Redhead 2872 Gearbox with 3 Master Spline. OEM fit. Steers great. No slack.

Although I did input the additional truck information requested and the system did say it fit, it did not. This fits onto a 3-spline shaft, my Silverado has 4.Product did arrive on a Moog box and seemed to be good quality heavy duty.

seems to be ok. Didnt go as far on as the OEM one. Needed to really tighten Nut to get a few threads visible.

2009 2500hd Dirtymax. Open box. Zerk fitting and nut missing. Called Amazon and they sent a replacement right away. Had to put off the repair until the next weekend. Not ideal, but that's why only 4 stars. Moog is a great product for OE replacement parts.
