This ball joint fit my car perfectly and seems to be good quality. The rubber boot popped off of one of them while I was installing, which was super frustrating, but I was able to add some grease and get the boot back on, and reinstall the spring clip without too much trouble. I'm sure it was all user error anyway. You'll notice in the photo that I attached, that the old ball joint did look different. This is because I drive a Subaru WRX but the previous owner put WRX STI aluminum control arms on it, and the aluminum control arms require a steel cone called a "Boss Transverse Link" that fits between the ball joint and control arm. In order to get the steel cone off, I had to spend about 20 minutes wailing on the old ball joint with a pickle fork and a 4 pound sledge hammer. All of that just goes to say, if you drive an STI, don't worry if your old ball joint looks different, just take the time to get the old cone off and you should be good to go!

Good ball joints. Have only driven a few hundred miles on them, but they look well constructed, come with new nut and cotter pin. Worth the price I would say now, I’ll see how long they last, but they look/feel very sturdy

Product works very good. The bolt head provided with it was a size larger than the factory bolt but it was no problem to just grab a larger socket to tighten it down.

My original ball joints had torn rubber boots after 188,000 miles and hardly any grease left in them. It would only be a matter of time before they were shot. You really should replace both when you do these. Spend a few bucks and buy or borrow a "pickle fork" to aid removal. Lots of videos on y*utube on how to replace these. Removing one or both bolts from the sway bar link will make it easier. These ball joints are not the cheapest, but I have used MOOG parts on over a dozen of my personal vehicles over the past 35 years and never had one fail. I have had cheap no-name eb*y or amaz*n chin*se alternatives fall apart within mere months on other car repairs. For the time and effort it takes to replace these ball joints, it is not worth buying junk parts only to have to do it again later. I hope this review helps you steer away from the "lowest denominator"alternatives.

Used these to replace the ball joints on my 2006 Subaru WRX. Comes with all the hardware required to make a complete repair.I have used Moog on every vehicle that I've owned as an OEM alternative because the brand is not only affordable but has out performed the OEM parts. Excellent parts at affordable prices is what everyone wants.

2015 subaru outback. Definitely buy the Subaru ball joint tool as well. I had a hell of a time trying to bang out the rusted socket on the ball joint. Ended up having to buy that specific tool($27). Made the job really easy. Also buy some rust penetrating spray. Spray on pinch bolt and around ball joint. I will update this post if the ball joint fails. Reddit reviews say Moog quality has gone down hill. Butall these reviews look promising. Buy the special tool! Happy holidaze!

UPDATE 2/15/17So these are complete crap!I went to do my oil change and rotate my tires yesterday, and always check to make sure there are no oil leaks or tears in anything under the car, and low and behold the replacement balljoint that I had to wait a week on from the first order has ALL READY FAILED!I haven't even driven 3000 miles on these things yet, and it has already spit out all the grease (mind you all over the back dish of my JDM Enkei wheels).I can't speak for the Moog products made in Germany or other places, but the ones made in Mexico are completely worthless, and their QC is as good as China made crap.**DO NOT WASTE YOU MONEY **Buy OEM and be done with itordered two because my OEM's both saw their final days. parts shipped/received super fast which was awesome, installed one just as expected. went to install the second one after I removed my old ball joint, open the box and notice the lower retention clip for the boot has come off?!?!now i'm stuck with my car on jacks waiting for the replacement part, which ironically is now going to take 5 days to show up (coming from the same distribution plant, not sure why it's taking so long to process an exchange).also just as another member expressed, I looked on the box to find the parts are made in Mexico. Hoping to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I know mexico's manufacturing standards aren't as high as say USA, Japan or Germany. we'll see though

If your lucky enough to get your old ones out and clean the bores out with a dremel. These fit the soobies just fine and have lasted me a few years so far. Unlike buying a store brand such as OE Plus or Napa gold you know who makes these!

First unit had a cracked boot out of the box (Amazon exchanged it quickly thought!) The second unit came smeared in grease, all over the bottom, and leaking out the top of the boot. However, unlike some other brands I've used for ball joints, these ones come with all the hardware needed to install, including that dreaded Subaru pinch bolt. Install was easy.
