just take your time. Most of the work is dismantling the intake. It's about a 3hr job. Fitted perfectly on a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. Includes oil filter, temp and pressure sensor. If your pressure sensor needs replacing, I'd just get this and not bother with replacing just the sensor. Unless money is tight. They all seem to leak after a while & you'll end up doing the job twice. The telltale sign is a lot of engine oil leaking over the top of your transmission. The oil collects in the engine V and then when you accelerate, spills over the back of the engine and down the top of your transmission.

Don’t forget to get a torx E8 bit to remove and install. (Pointed our in picture).I was skeptical because the cost seemed a little low for a legitimate MOPAR product, but it ended up fitting and working great. Doing this myself was totally doable and I saved a little over $500 from what the dealer quoted in parts and labor.Just did this January 2020. Thank you!

So I own a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. If you have a 2011 or 2012 Chrysler or Jeep, you will know about the terrible Oil Filter design of the Pentastar 3.6L. For no reason at all a Spring and plastic shroud will come flying as you remove the oil filter cap. Chrysler fixed the design asap in 2013... but people with 2011's and 2012's are stuck. No recalls as of yet. My Jeep dealer wanted to charge me $675 to fix the $2 spring and spring shroud (basically to tow, purchase and install this part, and oil change). Gross! I was informed by a really great mechanic that I could purchase this part from Amazon, remove the spring and shroud and put the spring and shroud on my current jeep! It worked fantastic! 30 minutes. Until a spring+shroud is available, buy this $175 part. Much cheaper that than $675 (but not as cheap as it should be... $20). Of course I should do the typical warnings... only change this if your warranty has run out and be extremely careful when taking off the spring and shroud. You have to press in 3 tabs and slightly pull up. Also once removed, do not throw this part away. If they ever do release a spring and shroud for $20, you can mount it on this part and have a brand new one -- if your oil cooler should ever go out.4EDIT: Rejoice! There's now a spring-and-nipple replacement part in the works from Dorman. Search for rViwIKhyoR4 on youtub

After a great deal of research, I decided to go with this part.I have a 2012 Dodge Durango with the 3.6 pentistar that started losing coolant and I could not figure out where it was going. Finally figured out it was leaking from the oil cooler.I read numerous forums that pointed to the fact that the 2011-2013 models were typical to leak coolant and the 2014-2016 were known to leak oil into the coolant. From what I read, the 2014 oil cooler (part # 5184294A) has a different oil filter but was re-engineered and is the best part to go with, in terms of preventing future leaking. So even though the filters are different than the 2011-2013 yr models, the oil cooler does fit. You will just need to buy a 2014 oil filter from there on.So I purchased the (part #5184294AE) from Athens Dodge Chrysler Jeep.Their reputation was a little better than some of the other sellers but a little more expensive.I felt more comfortable buying this oem oil cooler from an actual Dodge dealer.I had my personal mechanic install it for $180 plus another $20 to install the new spark plugs (part #SP149125AE).I makes sense to go ahead and install the plugs while your there because you have to take the intake off to get to three of the plugs.I also purchased the intake gaskets (part#)and three jugs of Mopar coolant (part #)My one and only complaint is that the part was shipped with zero packing protection. Not sure if Amazon is responsible or the seller.Thankfully it worked without any issues.Hopefully this information will help someone else.

Fit like a glove, I ordered this part because I didn’t want to spend the money at the dealership it was money well spent. The part fit like a glove all I needed was new gaskets that fit with the intake manifold. Buy those too they’re worth the money as well as needed.

Check engine light on P06DD code. Found relief valve stuck in old unit. Got this one on and put it in. Cleared code and test drove vehicle. The check engine light was fixed but after test drive an oil leak developed under vehicle. Traced leak to the new cooler. It was leaking where the aluminum cooler met the plastic above the oil pressure switch. Had to replace the unit again and Gunk then pressure wash engine -transmission to remove oil that leaked all over it.This leak may have been caused by poor packaging. All the seller did was put a shipping label on the box and send it out. Since it comes in the box with a with just some paper loosely wrapped a round it., if it was dropped it could have caused a crack. Suggest putting in a larger box with bubble wrap and then shipping it. They don't call it drop shipping for no reason. When I went to return it then and only then the sellers return policy was shown. Parts that are used are not eligible for refund (even if defective). They tell you to go to a dealer for warranty. I called the dealer parts guy and he said "you want me to fill out the warranty paper work for a part I did not sell? Yeh right!" Plus they have a 20% restocking fee for returned parts that are ok but not needed. They don't show this information when you order from them!Amazon is still processing my refund I update this if I get my refund.

This part is exactly as described and is OEM. If you are reading this review, I would highly recommend you pay the extra money and get this product. I unfortunately, had to learn the hard way as I originally found a cheaper price for the product however, my mechanic said that the product would not fit! This product is OEM and a lot cheaper than at the dealership where it is $407. So you can buy this one with confidence knowing that it is legit.

I was a little skeptical that it would be a legitimate Mopar part at this price. Sure enough, it was. The leaky oil filter housing on my 2013 wrangler is now taken care of.
