I got the upgraded tie rods and drag link and this worked to set the pitman arm in the right location.

Fit perfect on 06 ram 2500 this works with newer T style linkage only. Do not use for stock Y linkage. In fact do not use Y linkage at all its a horrible design, in my opinion its dangerous and defective. Update 2024.... This is the best thing I have ever done to my truck. The T linkage update (covered as a factory defect if you can find a cooperative dealer) made the truck steer better than new, the way it should have when I bought it. I lived with clunking, bump steering, and bad steering for years. If I had known how much of an improvement this would make I would have done it sooner. The old one coming off will give you a good fight so be prepared. I broke a pitman arm puller on this job. Modified a few tools and ended up cutting part way through the old one so it would crack where it gripped the spline. Then it finally came off.

I bought this for several reasons: it's genuine mopar, it was $25 less than what the stealership wanted, you need it with the steering upgrade, and i was replacing my gearbox as well so i cut the old one in half with a torch so i didn't have to fight it to remove it. Arived timlely, it wasn't rusty as others said, and it was a direct fit without any issues. Would buy it again if needed.

Is what it is. Revised OEM Part to reduce the angle at the drag link. It is NOT a dropped Arm. So it has a sloped end and soft angle at attachment point. Correct splines for OEM steering box sector shaft.

I purchased this part for my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel along with that whole upgraded 3rd gen "T-Style" steering so i can do the 4th gen steering swap on my truck.. After I finally removed the stock pitman arm and tried to correctly install This new pitman arm its diameter is too large to have a snug fit on the steering box splined shaft. I believe this Pitman Arm was NOT made for the 2001 model rams.. I am getting by right now with the 2nd gen pitman arm mounted to the 3rd gen steering, but i would rather get the correct angle pitman arm with a SMALLER diameter splined hole.. If anybody knows of one please let me know.. THANK YOU

Not much to say about this piece other than it worked perfect for my steering upgrade on my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500. I used it with the 2009-2012 style steering linkage which is recommended. Paint it to prevent rust and install!

This is a must if changing steering linkage from y style to t style. Puts all the geometry proper.
