Seems defective or used. Will update review with replacement order. Item arrived with torn lining, torn handle, missing trim and loose threads.EDIT: Replacement arrived within 24 hours, and confirmed that the 1st one had been previously used (see comparison image). New one is great and working extremely well. Rough play time is now nowhere nearly as painful.

Great sleeve for our pittie, initially purchased to work with our Belgian Mal to get him start, first bite, teeth went all the way through-felt superb. I feel the pictures used are slightly misleading.

My husky loves this bite sleeve , he goes at it for hours, build quality is poor tho , all handles broke after 5 mins of use, the material quality seems very hard , makes my dog bleed some cause it’s ti rough, also he has put many holes in this the first day

I've trained dogs since the mid 80's and started training bite work in the early 90's. That is a LOT of bite sleeves in 30 years! This is one of the better ones I have used. The size, the grips, the materials used are all very nice, and so far it has held up against 2 Belgian Malinois and a Mali/Shepherd/Rott cross. The Mals are practicing to maintain skills and the mix is just learning. This sleeve is great, and I no longer have to worry about looking like a domestic violence victim from bruises on my arms. I love the fit of this sleeve, it is great & I hope to use this company again for more training materials. Shipping was FAST, much faster than 99% of any of the others I found, and the price was perfect! 5 stars all the way, and then some. Thanks so much for making me a VERY happy handler!

No injuries and protects the user against a strong bite such as my mastiff/pit bull mix. No injuries sustained and she absolutely loves to attack it. She literally hangs off the sleeve and she has bitten through countless bones yet she can’t bite through the sleeve, breaks flesh and it doesn’t hurt. She does however love going for the outside handle. I gave up trying to prevent her from grabbing it. Fantastic purchase and great quality.My dog has destroyed nearly everything else she sinks her teeth into so I’m happy she has something durable.

Disappointed in this product, I had high hopes due to the positive reviews. Product start to brake down after just 3 days (see pix) the fome on the handle start to rip, the design is a total fail, had to use a clip just to keep the sleeve in place, and the opening by the inside grip handle should be closed or you will get bit also there is no significant amount of cushion in the sleeve I got pinch few times, and it wasn't pleasant. For reference my 50lb 11m mix breed dog is not aggressive but loves to tug, I wanted to try this before investing in the real professional one, but this product did not pass the test.

The jute ripped away from the yellow seam pretty quickly, but overall the sleeve it's self has held up fine to multiple dogs, you cannot feel the bite through it and I have pretty hard bitters
