In a pinch, I used this to adapt an old extention for my pool cue to the threads on the bottom of the new one.

Somehow I stripped the threads where the air cleaner stud goes on a traditional Holley 3310 carburetor. I didn't know this part existed until I bought a new Holley Street HP that requires a 5/16-18 stud or this adapter so I could use a 1/4-20 stud. I was thinking I had to get a Heli-coil kit for $20 and take my chances. Read the reviews on some of those kits. At least half fail in the process of the repair. I bought a drill and tap kit for $8 and this stud adapter is working very well. Mr. Gasket offers an adapter with a threaded stud but the threaded end on the adapter is too long and sticks up a little. Get this one and just use their threaded stud.

Genuine Moroso part of that means something. Needed to use some locktite with the stud but think it's the stud that had a loose thread. Otherwise all good.

Has about the same tensile strength as plastic. Twisted off immediately.
