This heat barrier blanket is a must-have for anyone doing restorative work in and around the engine bay. It cuts easy (wearing gloves is a must). I use it to replace worn/torn insulation for my heater/AC unit. To improve installation handling, I covered the cut piece with reflective aluminum tape and sprayed one side with an adhesive spray. It went on cleanly and is working perfectly.

This insulation has no foil backing of any kind, its just the white stuff. Well made material and it works well though. I recommend

This was not at all what I expected it to be. It does not seem to be a heat barrier as advertised. What it is however, is a toxic piece of material that should not be handled with bare hands nor cut without wearing a mask. A detail that should most definitely be listed in the description of this product.

We used it to repair our wood burning stove. It is saving a lot of extra wood as our stove is more efficient.

I needed to keep heat away from under the passenger compartment of an off road truck with a muffler that's mounted high and tight to the body. This does the trick!
