Used three of these to add cabling from the house main panel to a sub panel in the new shop. #6AWG ground was run straight through from panel to panel. Compact enough to get all three in a small 4 X 6 X 8 inch junction box (a little tight but OK with proper cable routing). These fit #2 AWG with ease. They came with enough plugs for all the ports and are pre-loaded with Will purchase these again for the next project.

Had to extend and branch a couple feeder wires for a solar system. They worked like a charm.

I saw a negative comment from someone trying to install 6 wires in this item when it clearly says 3- ports. This would be a huge safety concern as it is only designed for 3 wires and if you try to put 2 wires in one hole you will never get a good connection. This could result in arcing and potentially a fire. It has 6 holes only so you can put the wire in the top "OR" bottom hole not both.

Does what i needed, 2 wires going in on one side, one going out on the other side. Picture doesn't show them, but mine came with removable plugs/covers on every port to cover the ones that don't have wires coming out or the access for the tightening screws. Not so big it takes up too much space in the electrical panel. Will be ordering more.

If one wants to splice three heavy gauge aluminum of copper wires these connectors are the way to go. Much easier and safer to use than split bolts which require insulating separately.

This is NOT for splicing a three wire cable. All three (six) wires are connected together.

I paid a lot less than the current price. There's lots of types if you don't need to connect 5 wires altogether get a smaller one. This was for a box near the main panel for all the commons to come together: grid, grid disconnect, inverter, main panel and sub-panel. Dual entry is a plus if any of your wires are short and need to come in back. Can be a little trickier to insure that you connect metal to metal since it can pass thru the crimp part. included dielectric grease is always a plus.
