Moscow mule ingredients for 16 oz. mug . 1/2 ounce lime juice/lime slice. 2 ounces vodka (or more if you've had a rough day). 6 ounces ginger beer. Fresh ice and solid Copper Mule Mug . Squeeze lime juice into a solid copper Moscow mule mug and drop in the spent shell. Add ice cubes, then pour in the vodka and fill with cold ginger beer. Serve with a stirring rod. Don't be afraid to mix up different flavors of vodka. Peach and cucumber vodka are very popular also! enjoy! Why solid copper? Solid copper is important for chemical ionization of acids commonly found in citrus fruits like lemon or ange, grapefruit and of course, lime. This is why other fancy copper mugs with nickel, tin or other metal and food lacquer linings do not have the same taste as Solid Copper Mug. The acid ionization of Solid Copper Mugs for Moscow mules is the premise of purchasing the mug in the first place. We are focused on providing high quality mugs that stay true to the history of the Moscow mule drink. With that in mind, if you're looking to create original recipes and are getting stuck, try starting with your 'acid base' instead of your liquor base. Care instructions : Uncoated copper will tarnish naturally. Many of our customers prefer the antique or vintage tarnished barware look. To remove tarnish, apply an inexpensive acid such as white vinegar and table salt. To minimize tarnish, hand wash in minimal chemicals. These copper mugs are of the highest quality.

This is a good one and quality one. It is shiny outside always will not rust as most copper ones as it has a transparent shield. The most I like is it is a cup made of complete copper. Most people buy these kind of copper tumblers that some one told them it is good for health to drink water in copper mugs. That is true as long as you clean it inside and it is not copper oxidised/rusted. Donot use mental even plastic scrubbers to clean it outside. Just use soap and soft brush for outside. Inside you can clean little hard like any other mug. You will find it make it shine inside as there is no coating inside like outside and that actually brings the medicinal properties for water and that is what you might have bought it for. To cleanup inside clean and quickly, I used a mix of tamarind paste one spoon and one spoon salt mixed with hit water. Ola! It cleaned it in seconds. After that I rinsed with normal dish liquid inside. Do not use this to clean outside. Do not expose it to steam ot do not put directly put on the stove at all. I put it on the side of a steming rice cooker it took out the outside coating. So bottom line is , this is a great one, do not leak even handle is revited. Do do not drop it, if you drop it rivits may get loose and it may leak. I reduced one point for "easy to handle" as you have to little bit careful but you will be used to it.

Somehow, the Moscow Mule mixed drink is associated with copper cups. I don't know anything about that. The reason I bought copper cups is because I saw a video where the person said that drinking out of a copper cup creates electrical conductivity in your water. He said that was the reason people have copper pipes in their homes. He thought that switching to plastic pipes was not a good idea. I like drinking out of copper cups. I can't prove that copper is healthier, but the water does taste good. The handle is a little thin for my big hands but no matter, these cups are way cool.

Excellent looking mugs with one potentially serious concern:Probably like you, I wanted a solid copper mug with no other chemical coatings or mixed metal linings/plating. Since the handles are riveted, there naturally has to be some mechanism that keeps the liquid from leaking out of the rivet holes. I ordered 4 mugs, and all 4 had some black unidentified substance on or around the rivet holes (both inside and outside). I couldn't tell if it was burned remnants of solder, flux, or remnants of some kind of sealer. Also. when looking at the drinking rim lip from the outside of the cup where the lip rim meets the outside wall, there also appears to be some unidentified sealant lurking that flakes off like lacquer. But wait, I thought they said no lacquer ...Not knowing what it is, I can't assess the health effects and/or durability of the the construction to withstand future leaks. I just cleaned it as best as I could and hoped for the best.Outside of the concern that I may die from whatever they used to seal the rivets, I am very happy with the mugs. They are otherwise well made.I'm adding a photo of the rim after cleaning. Unfortunately I cleaned off all of the black stuff from the rivets so I can't take photos of those. So other than the cup may be slowly poisoning me because of the not lacquer lacquer and unidentified rivet sealant, I really like the mugs.

I waited for 2 months for this cup to arrive. I finally contacted customer service and they refunded my money cause the cup disappeared with no tracking.b3 days later the cup came. I felt bad and was going to contact the seller right away. Then I opened it. It is in fact a Steele cup with a thin copper plating on the outside. The inside where you want the copper to be is Steel. Not stainless steel as 1 would think would be appropriate for a cup but just regular old steel that a magnet jumps at! Not good for drinking out of at all! I'm fact opposite of what someone who purchases a copper cup would be wanting it for. So I didn't contact the seller to pay. I ordered a drinking cup not a planter for my baby succulents. The person selling this cup should be ashamed of themselves for scamming people who are looking for better health. Amazon shouldn't let them sell on here as it makes them just as responsible.
