I'm pretty sure it worked, if I rule out any unseen coincidences. I bought plastic containers (non-reactive to polyethylene), drilled four holes around the sides of them, dropped in a few mothballs and screwed their lids onto them.After placing them around my patio and garden areas (within six feet of each other) I have not encountered anymore snakes.The deer ended up eating the leaves off of my sweet potato plants after two weeks but, to be fair, those plants were a couple feet outside of the mothballed areas so I can't really say if the mothballs affected the deer or not.

We used the moth balls under the deck. I had either mice or moles. I know they are gone because the dog is no longer trying to dig a hole through my deck. I wish I could buy a big bad instead of small boxes

Would never buy again. Go to Walmart triple the size for 3.97. Waste of money to purchase here. Quality is fine. Package size is terrible
