Purchased 4 units to detect motion and light up for each side of house. These are simple, unsophisticated units, but earning 5-Stars for ease of installation, function, and price point. Be sure to take care during assembly though. The plastic snap tabs are not the strongest, because one of the two snapped off on the first one assembled - but was nothing strong weatherproof tape couldn't hold in place long term given the remaining tab snapped in just fine. Was more careful with next three units. Be aware of the thin flexible weatherproofing ring gasket when unscrewing the unit face to install batteries; being sure it did not become disturbed and is properly fitted around in a complete circle before screwing parts back together. The motion sensing is good; only one of the units has to contend with leaves of tree branches in its view and seems to adjust for that - turning on unintentionally only when there was a wind event. Aiming the units for directionality was easy. But maybe just a 4-Star, based on care needed during assembly.

a prior review said how some things are made cheap and that is true. The biggest problem is snapping the battery holder back on. Like that person said one of the snaps broke easily and used duct tape to hold it tight. Now to be fair for the money it is a good product. It is bright, more lumens than some $40 apiece ones. I don't regret buying them. I would buy them again.

I only had 3 newish D batteries and one slightly older or to be more precise a " rechargeable battery " so my set-up for now is not optimal until I get brand new batteries but upon inserting the batteries it lights up. It's easy setup! 4 screws I drilled first so they accept the screws easily and it's got swivel so you can angle it. Really have no complaints it works and shuts off after about 5-10 seconds. Look ma no wires, easy!

These lights are not a good buy…. They don’t work - at all. I thought it was the brand new batteries, so I put in more BRAND new batteries- still no light. Waited for dark, dogs ran in front still no light.Absolute CRAP. How about American made? I’ll bet I’ll get the light then…….

These throw a great light - I have them aiming down the walkway behind my house for when I let my dogs out at night and I don't want any surprise critters being out there when they go out to do their business late at night.
