this is very pretty and easy to install. I had an issue with it not working but I didn't have a dimmable bulb in it. I put in a dimmable bug light and it works great

Couldn’t ask for a better light. Once you set it up you can leave the switch on and let the motion section do its job. Very pleased!

I ordered this to replace the light on our back porch which was basically a metal plate with a socket sticking out of it. In other words it was just a light bulb sticking out from the ceiling. Obviously this one is wall mounted, which means I had to build my own custom mount so I could use it. I knew that when I ordered it though so just be aware you'll need to either be installing to a wall or have a way to custom build a mount that will allow it to work. As far as looks go, my wife and I love it. It looks just a nice as we hoped and even matches the style of another wall mounted light we had installed in our theater room which is the room that connects to the porch. As far as operation goes, so far it's worked great. I overlooked the fact that it was motion sensing when I ordered it which kinda makes it feel like getting something extra as motion sensing features are something that makes it even better. As for build quality, I'm going to say it is really well made. I accidently knocked it over when I had it sitting out of the box causing it to hit the hard floor. I was worried I might have damaged it, but to my surprise there was none. I'm not saying anyone should be intentionally reckless with it, I'm just saying it took a decent hit and luckily nothing happened. Lastly I feel like the cost is def fair. Overall very happy with it. Just be aware.. this one has a 3 wire connection. 1 for an energized/hot (typically black) wire, 1 for neutral (typically white) wire, and then 1 for ground (typically green or bare copper) wire. It's not uncommon for homes to have just 2 wires (no ground) especially in older homes. Just be aware that even if you don't have a ground where you want this installed, connecting the hot and neutral alone will still allow it to function but having a grounded product is always recommended as it adds an additionally layer of safety to anything that's electrically connected. Regardless installation couldn't be easier, but I also have a background in electrical work. Being a linemen and having built stuff like 35kv circuits and transformer banks makes stuff like this feel like child's play, so I have to say electricity is dangerous and unless you have some level of knowledge or experience.. saying anyone would find installation simple is inaccurate. That in mind, I'm going to recommend anyone unsure of their ability to work on this should either have the ability to turn off the power to the area its going to be installed or if that's not an option.. experience with doing stuff like replacing a hot (power still on) electrical outlet safely and correctly would be a similar job in terms of the needed skill level for installing this light with power still hot.

I got this light to install at my mom's house because it had the dusk-to-dawn and motion sensor features, since she often forgets to turn the porch light on when she goes out later in the day and gets back after dark. This alleviates that issue, since the light will come on automatically when she pulls in the drive, illuminating the walkway and steps which is especially important in the winter. The fixture itself is much more attractive in real life than depicted in the photos and she liked it so much she asked me to get another to replace a second outside light on her house. I haven't installed them yet, but it comes with everything you need and if you have pre-existing wiring because you're replacing an older fixture, it's very straightforward. I like that the light bulb is well protected but also easy to reach for changing a burnt out bulb. If you like this style of fixture, you won't be disappointed and it's very fairly priced considering the functionality!

It is probably a great light .....No instruction manual for what the modes are were included in the box. Very frustrating because the light is on all the time, not dusk to dawn. I used both auto and PC modes....nothing changes. Very frustrating.

I received one for reviewing and ended up buying a matching one because they are that nice. Absolutely love the quality. They look very high-end and the light depending on what kind of bulbs you put in have a nice glow because of the textured glass that’s over it. I like that it’s not super clear glass because when they get dirty can really stand out especially when it’s raining and it leaves like these raindrops on it. Definitely recommend 10 out of 10.
