The price was nice at around $90. I needed the kit for a 69 12 bolt rear axle with a 3 series posi carrier. Motive Gear lists the R12CRMKT as right kit for this application. The kit came with bearing marked as Timken, so the quality should be good. The picture does not show this, but the kit did include a small amount of gear marking compound and red thread locker. A real problem though was the 12 bolts included in the kit to attached the ring gear to the gear carrier. These have an 11/16 inch hex head, which just fits into the off set hole in the gear carrier, but leaves no room for a socket or wrench to fit securely over the head on the bolt. This makes it impossible to correctly torque these bolts to the required 55 ft/lbs. In the photo you can see how the bolt heads barely rise above the carrier itself, which prevents good engagement of a socket. An example of the bolts that were used for this purpose originally are on the left in the photo. The original bolts have a hex head size of 9/16 of an inch. If you order this kit you will be left with the task of either getting another set of grade 8 bolts or figuring out how to use the ones that came with the kit. Not what I want to be doing when I have enough issues to get the axle rebuilt properly. Also, note that the picture for the Amazon listing does not show a pinion nut washer and I can confirm that one is not included. It is recommended that a new washer be used when torquing down your pinion nut during reassembly and it would have made sense if this washer was included with the kit. If I knew about the bolts before I order this item I would not have order it.Also the shims that were included for the pinion bearing and the carrier bearings were not the same inner and outer diameter as the OEM shims and so they don't fit securely on the pinion shaft or in the differential housing. The shim thicknesses were all very similar and are not sufficient to allow proper adjustment of pinion depth or carrier bearing preload.

looked around for a while for a good kit and i found this one, plus for me was the fact the kit came with Timken Bearings, rebuilt my 12bolt Rear end from my 69 Camaro and the parts fitment was excellent
