The fan assembly works well. It runs smoothly with very low noise. I was able to get my old bathroom fan working again. However, the frame is not a perfect fit. You have to force it to fit in the housing. Buying just a new motor for the old frame is a better option.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this replacement part fit. There was one mounting tab that needed to be adjusted to get it to easily fit into the existing housing which took about 30 seconds with pliers. Easy plug-in to the old housing that kept me from having to go into attic and replace the entire fixture. The old motor assembly drops out from the housing and the new one goes in. A little more work than changing a bulb but the same concept. Pliers and a screwdriver to pop out the old motor assembly is all I needed.

I did use my old plate only because it has model # on it. I'd imagine whenever this 1 goes bad I won't remember it. Low noise installation was simple and works great

Easy install. The height of the fan and shaft on other replacement models was too high for the housing on our shower fan. This one was short enough to fit without rubbing. Our original model is a Broan 679-E/2679F-A.

Works great as advertised. Replaced my NuTone Model No. 754RBNT-B, which has been discontinued.Motor is nice and quiet and does not vibrate. However the fan blades are larger than the original unit which makes for a slightly louder "whooshing" sound, which I can deal with because this fan is more efficient.Install was super easy, my 8 year old son did most the work with my supervision, as I am trying to teach him so life skills.

Just installed this in a 678-G/2678F-A with a simple flat screwdriver in 2 minutes. Seems a bit quieter than another fan with the original motor. Time will tell on longevity.I can't validate previous reviewer about using the original light as we upgraded to the FG500 cover with LED light. Really nice upgrade.
