I only ordered this as it was the quickest way to get a new screen, I had planed to use the screen off this unit on my OEM petcock and discard the rest but the screen would not fit.I ended up installing the whole unit and so far so good!Will update if it fails as others have stated.

Installed on my 98 vt1100c3 when the one on the bike started leaking. Fit great and was not hard to change. Made a thin wrench and was able to change without having to remove the tank.

I installed this peacock valve on June 20th 2023 started leaking around May 2024 I’m beyond return window should have lasted longer than 1 year beware!!!

UPDATE: It lasted me 2.5 years before it's started to fail. So there you have it. Failure is I cannot get it to switch to Reg fuel flow, I have to go to reserve, but when I switch to reserve on the initial flip some gas leaks out of the petcock body. If you buy 4-5 of theses you may get the same life span as OEM. 5*17 = 85 dollars. OEM is likely run you 100+ unless you go to ebay and find it cheaper there but probably the same cost in the end. Less work to replace it though.Worked well but the on off was mislabeled? I had the oem petcock so I swapped the switch and it’s all aligned. Going on 3 years and it’s now getting hard to put into reg fuel flow, reserve is fine, could be something in the gas tank floated in there and is obstructing it making it difficult to turn now. But there you have it. It’s worked great so far until as of late.
