I was shredding serpentine belts on my 7.3L and determined it was the tensioner that was causing the issue. I ordered a new tensioner and installed it. Problem solved 100K miles later still no issues!

Factory part. Replaces old one correctly. Tracts great no wobble. I recommend replacing when new belt installed. Price was fair, less then dealer mark up.

Opened the hood on my 7.3 found shards of my belt everywhere. Luckily I checked it before it had completely broke. Found this to be a common issue around the 300,000 mile mark. With 360k I figured I’d start here. Easy install after removing the old one and comparing it was obvious it was worn out. 3000 miles later everything looks as it should.

Put on a 2002 7.3 Liter Power Stroke Diesel Excursion Limited Edition.Purchased this product to replace the Gates one (part 38191), because the Gates one rubbed on the belt / has a factory defect. A few points:1. It comes with the bolt- very nice - and a little black seal on the bolt - also nice.2. It has a tension holder sort of device on the top from factory. IMPORTANT! It's not going to put tension on your belt until you push down on the 1/2 inch tensioner (after it's installed) with a breaker bar / ratchet! Took me a minute to figure this out... thought I had a broken part at first. Once it's installed, get your belt in place and then proceed as if you're trying to take tension off the belt (even though there won't be any tension yet) and it will pop/provide tension.3. Likely has more tension than your old one! Seems like a - duh! - kinda point... but nearly broke my hand between my ratchet handle and the AC Compressor when it popped back up another 1-2 inches further/stronger than the old one. Hand is kinda sore. lol Maybe try pulling up from the driver's side instead of pushing down on the passenger side?Good OEM product! Worth the extra. Seems to have cleaned up truck idle which was rough / off and of course, squeaky.

Took the squeak away. Old one was definitely bad. If you have a squeal and you have already checked the belt and pulley I would suggest replacing this.

Clean look of this product is nice. Hopefully this will fix my radio reception in my truck, haven’t tried it yet. The flexibility will be nice when going through the brush and carwashes.

Solid build. Bearings in pulleys are running smooth and quiet. Pay attention to the fit. Make sure the tabs are fit properly in the slots
