The check engine light on my 1997 Mazda B4000 4WD truck came on. My code reader showed P1443, Evaporative Emission Control Valve low/no flow. The part number on the old one in the truck was E4ZF-9C915-AA, which is the same as this one. However, according to Amazon, this item would not fit my truck. I ordered it anyway.First, I received a package . . . with nothing in the package!! I returned the empty package and asked Amazon to ship the item. They did, it arrived in two days. Installation required a bit of swearing because the old hoses were TIGHT. Got the new one installed, check engine light went out. Runs fine.Yes, this DOES fit a 1997 Mazda B4000.

My brother has worked as a mechanic for most of his adult life. He recommended that as emission control sensors & actuators failed due to age on my 94 Ford Explorer (it's 20 years old but runs great when these devices are working) that I seek Motorcraft replacements whenever possible. I have taken his advice & the great results speak for that. I am quite mechanically inclined & prefer to do all maintenance & repairs myself. It can be challenging to pull "computer codes" and then test for which devices have failed but I persevere. I have purchased instruments & manuals that allow me to do this. Amazon stocks many Motorcraft parts for my vehicle at lower prices than I would pay locally. Doing my own work & purchasing the best parts at great prices has certainly saved me a few thousand dollars. I refuse to buy new or late model replacement vehicles when this one fits my needs and more recent vehicles are so expensive. I'm 66 and can keep this one running good for my conceivable lifetime !

For about a year in a half now I have been driving with a check engine light on. Last year I got lucky passing inspection because I managed to get it off just long enough for it to pass but literally 5 miles down the road afterwards in came back on. Well my inspection this year was coming up to be pass due with the check engine light still on! Got the codes checked and the code came up something to do with this part. Well I installed it and 100 miles later it hasn't came back on! Also just passed my inspection, what a relief! 38 bucks for the part was a fantastic deal too considering it was around 75 at Advance for the exact same part!

I bought this part because it is a OEM part. Within months the truck started throwing the same code again. Upon further inspection I found that this valve is not closing at anytime, allowing a continuous vacuum. Trying to get a warranty is a nightmare. Hours and hours going back and forth and still no warranty replacement.
