I ordered this at the same time that I ordered a Dorman 902-860 Thermostat Housing Kit because Amazon had identified it as something that others ordered at the same time as the housing kit. I didn't want to have the housing kit and then have to go out and buy a new gasket. Turns out that the new housing kit had one already installed so I did not need this one. I had already opened the package and was trying to install when I found the seal in new housing. No big deal since the gasket was fairly inexpensive.For what it's worth, I did take the time to compare the new gasket with the one in the old housing and from what I could tell this gasket is exactly like the original in diameter, height, and thickness.

Used on 04 Explorer XLT.Be sure to purchase when replacing the lower thermostat housing (RH148) it helps it seat properly. Like the title says, just like the one it replaced and it's been working well with no issues.

You don't need this for the thermostat (upper), like others I ordered it and scratched my head as to where the hell do I put this sucker in. If I had read the reviews here, I would have known that Amazon lists this as a go together item and it really shouldn't. Oh well, it's cheap.
