This is a genuine Motorcraft part. It fit my 1992 Ford F150 perfectly and solved the issue with my dome and courtesy lights not going out when the door was shut.

Great switch option for use where there was no switch before. Though mounting one in a door post could prove tricky. Threads are 12-1.0mm and are maybe 1/2" long. I'm machining a pair of aluminum mounts I can screw to the post that has a threaded hole to screw these into to deal with mounting the switches in to a thin sheet metal door post.Switch gives you one input and two outputs. It's adjustable in how far it sticks out, the first time the door closes on it it will be pushed in to itself. I had to look hard to find a mating harness connector and finally found them at LMC truck under part number 47-0626.

These dome light switches solved my problems

I had interior lights staying on which ran down the battery overnight at about 1.5 amps. Replacing the switch fixed things, although the new one sticks out further than the old one. Always good to use OEM parts.
