These work very well for securing our helmets. However, if you're wanting to feed the cable through the opening on a full face helmet, these will only accommodate one helmet per lock. I will run the cable through the metal rings that secure the chin straps, on both my and my sons helmets, allowing me to secure two helmets with only one cable lock. I ended up giving the second cable lock to a friend who also rides. Thinking of picking up another set of 2 to use as gun locks (as suggested by another customer). Great product, have used mine all summer (over 3000 miles) without the slightest of issues. Would definitely recommend to those looking for an easy/inexpensive way to secure their helmets to their bikes.

Simple cable lock, easy to use. I use it to lock my helmet to my motorcycle. Cable is plastic coated to prevent scratching. Helps prevent from easy theft but not theft proof.

Lock comes in a two piece set, so that was a cool deal right off the bat. Lock cord fits around helmet jaw perfectly and just enough extra slack to secure it around your handlebar instruments or like I also have pictured...so long as I'm not too far from my bike or in a sketchy ass neighborhood I can simply loop it around my seat strap. The second lock is perfect for when I have my girl with me so I can also secure her helmet as well, leaving us to not have to lug them around with is wherever we go which can be a pain sometimes. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

I use the built in helmet lock for my helmet. I bought these as backup locks, for when I want to lock something up, like a jacket (run wire through sleeve) or small cooler. I keep them under the seat, so they are always handy if needed. They seem well made, are small, but will deter a casual thief or thief with no tools. I would have preferred for the wire to be a bit longer, but a minor complaint. My workaround for a single larger loop is to connect the two locks together to get twice the length.

This is primarily good for using as a barrel lock for handguns with the length of the lock cable. I intended to use them as motorcycle helmet locks as that is one of the suggested uses and it doesn’t effectively work as such due to the short length of the cable lock.I am looking for a lock to secure my and my wife’s motorcycle helmets to the bike when we stop for food or walk away for extended periods of time. Most locks that are designed much like a standard bicycle lock have the curly cable that extends to a long length which is good but the locking mechanism is usually very cheap and a lot of people have posted pictures of busted locks. I am also looking specifically for a keyed lock and not a combination lock. I don’t like the helmet locks that hard install to the bike and where you lock the helmet d-ring to the lock. Number one, I don’t want another thing installed on the bike. Number two I don’t like that they only utilize the d-ring strap to secure the helmet.I had high hopes for this lock but alas the 14†cable length is some what deceiving. 14†does sound like a lot of length but not when you remember that the cable must be folded in half to secure itself to the main lock. You’re effectively left with about 6†of total useable length to string through the helmet itself (due to the curve at the top of the cable it’s not like folding a 14†piece of paper in half to get 7â€). I tried a few times to find a place to use this lock and could only find one place on the bike where I could actually get the lock’s cable through the main portion of my helmet and around a permanent section of my bike and that was down by my food pegs but that left the helmet sort of hanging free and prone to movement and thus banging or scratching against the side of the bike.I ultimately kept the locks because they’re not expensive and you never know when you may need a lock like this, especially since I do own handguns; they may come in handy. Judged purely as a lock I have no complaints but haven’t “tested†the security of the locks. As a bike helmet lock it didn’t do the trick.I hope this review was helpful to you in some way. Cheers!

I like this product. I don't have much need to have mounted helmet locks on my bike. I will carry my helmet in with me to a restaurant instead of leaving it with the bike, I put it in my locker at work, etc. I keep this in my saddlebag for those occasions when taking my helmet just isn't practical (like riding my bike to a tourist trap and taking a tour). I gave the other to my buddy, who normally goes on those rides with me (on his own bike of course) so that we could open the locks in case something happened to one of the keys.The wire is long enough to secure two helmets in a pinch, so the set allows both of us to secure the helmets of any riders going with us, as well.I have also used it as a gun lock to make my pistol safe when visiting relatives by running the wire through the magazine well and ejection port (The lock is basically a re-tasked pistol lock, which is also sold by master lock. . I have even used it to secure my locker at the gym when I needed to store my riding gear while working out (run the wire through the locker twice to keep it from being opened. It is quite versatile.For the most part, I would recommend these for people who really don't use helmet locks enough to justify installing a mounted set or for people who carry while riding and want an easy way to make their weapon safe if the need arises.

I am sure these locks will not deter a thief with some large tools, but it does make it difficult to steal something that is locked to the bike.These locks are quite small and easy to store on your bike.

Cables are coated and the locks work as advertised. We use them to secure helmets to the motorcycle for quick stops and they are long enough to work as desired but small enough to store when not needed. Would recommend.
