This makes buckling my helmet phenomenally easier, especially with gloves on. The normal D ring process is cumbersome. This makes it smooth and simple. In fact, once installed, this couldn't be simpler!Installation can be tricky for two reasons. (1) The very tiny screw used is, well, very tiny and easy to drop or worse, to lose. I had it cross threaded at first and when I backed it off, it fell--fortunately into my helmet. Had it hit the garage floor, I may have never found it. I would suggest using thread locker on this screw because if it ever backed out "in the wild" you would never, ever find it again. (2) You must hold the red tab up while installing. Otherwise, it drops below the pin and can't come up. I had to take the pin out and redo it once. (It just occurred to me that if you leave the male piece in place as if it's done up, this may not happen.)Once installed this mechanism works flawlessly and let's you take your helmet off and put it back on with ease, especially with gloved hands. I've tried other, similar solutions, but this one is by far the best I've tried. Highly recommended.

This motorcycle Helmet Quick Release Buckle Replacement Kit is a nice upgrade to the standard strap and D-ring chin strap on my helmet. The quick release has a positive engagement that stays locked until it's pulled to release. This buckle is also a little wider than some others that I've seen, which makes installing it a lot easier.

Needs to be a little longer so the red tab can be away from that bar that holds it on... Tad to tight but I made it worke
