Skinned today for the first time using this Wax on a fairly warm Teton day, the easy glide and lack of moisture in the skins were noticeable. Seems easily worth the money, did two pairs of skins and didn’t even use a little corner of the bar.

It didn’t originally seem like it was doing much when I put it on, but I was the only person on a soft spring day that didn’t have snow sticking to my skins (and I definitely had the oldest skins in the group.) Great purchase, helped everyone avoid sticky skin frustrations through a multi day trip.

Quick delivery and has a very pleasant smell. Unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to use it yet — it got too warm too fast. Will update next ski season

When it was new it worked. However, when I used it on a 27F day in 2024, less than a year after I bought it, it was brittle and cracked into pieces. When I rubbed my skins with the broken pieces, they cracked so I ended up with a bag of small green chunks of brittle wax, now what you want on a tour. This wax became unusable, too brittle, with age unlike any of the other brands that I have tried. If you demand biodegradable vegetable waxes, buy a pound of soy-palm wax blend from a candle making supplier but paraffin works as well or better.I've tried numerous commercial waxes including the same brand, POMOCA, as some of my skins, and all brands suffer from wearing off in 10 to 15 minutes on those 0 degree C days when you are alternating between wet slop in the sun and dry crusty snow in the shade.I hot wax at home and when that wears off I cold wax on the tour. If this wax lasted longer than others and didn't become unsuably brittle and break, I'd give it five stars. Still looking for a wax that lasts for the tour. Grocery store Gulf Wax works as well for me as any of the commercial skin waxes and lasts longer than some. The difference in glide between waxes seems to be negligible except that some very hard XC Ptex glide waxes perform better on very cold days when you don't need wax to prevent balling. Most XC Ptex glide waxes seem to prevent balling and icing about the same as skin waxes but some have better glide.

Awesome product. Works great at keeping my skins dry and gliding smoothly in the ever warming socal snow. I’m a fan for life.

Made my skins slower and they didn’t glide.
