We are stoked to offer one of the world’s only plant-based waxes! For context, nearly all ski wax is made from petroleum.
We design all of our products with these standards in mind.
All of our products are made in the USA and our solid waxes are even hand-poured!
PLANT-BASED
Our Hot Wax and Quick Wax are made entirely from plant-based products. Whereas most ski wax is made from petroleum, created as a by-product of the oil refining process, our wax contains 0% petroleum.
As your skis slide on the snow, small pieces of the wax are pulled out of your bases and into the snowpack. With a traditional ski wax, petroleum and/or fluorocarbon particles are transported into the snowpack and eventually into the watershed. With mountainFLOW’s wax, only pieces of all-natural, plant wax are introduced into the environment.
HIGH PERFORMANCE
After 2 years of R&D and over 200 formulations, we developed a line of plant-based wax that worked just as well as conventional, petroleum-based wax.
Our Hot Wax has earned a reputation for above average durability - lasting 4 to 6 days.
Our Quick Wax is easy to apply and works great in all conditions.
Our Skin Wax improves glide while maintaining a solid kick. By keeping the skins dry, snow buildup is reduced and skins stay light and fast.

I have used similar products that are really tough to scrape off - not this one. I haven't noticed a difference between the application and use of this vs traditional wax products. I guess only difference is this one isn't harmful to environment.

Have you ever wanted to ski in an area and leave the water supply toxic? Neither have I; and this is why I love this wax! It is TOP performance with a CONSCIENCE! LOVE IT!

Found it difficult to scrap off without flicking or cracking the wax. It smell like burn grass when the wax is heated...

I really like this stuff, but it is tough to scrape off. I use a hot crayon method to limit the amount of wax going onto the board, but even then it can really gum up your scraper. I think it’s important to take an all natural approach to snow wax, but I wish there was a way to make it a little less of a mess. I’m definitely using it in my wax lineup and I recommend using it if you have a lot of time to wax and you want to take the extra step to protect the environment, but I can’t recommend using it as your go to wax as it just turns hot waxing into a lot longer process.

Was tacky when being scraped off. Wasn’t sure if I had done something wrong, but went back to a more traditional wax after a couple attempts.

A little harder to put on than normal wax, but it's with it to help the water shed! I couldn't tell any difference between this and normal wax on the mountain.
