These are very sturdy and slim; they don't stand out on the bookshelves. Heavy rows of books have stayed in place, no problems. Very happy!

I needed 4 bookends to use for a talk I was giving featuring some books that had an impact on my life. I opened the books up towards the middle and then slid the book across the tall top part so each book would stand upright and visible. These Mr Pen book ends worked perfectly. Each one was was made of sturdy metal and had three rubbery circles on the bottom to prevent sliding. For traveling purposes, the bookends stacked neatly on top of each other and took up minimal space. Now that my talk is over, I will be using these well-made bookends to actually hold up some books on my wooden bookcase. I won't worry about my books sliding or the wood underneath getting scratched.

These are decent and affordable book ends. They hold most books in place. Of course the plain black color isn't fancy. I sometimes place a book's cover over the long side part and then it makes it seem like my books are free standing.

I hardly ever write reviews for Amazon products, but I was really impressed by these bookends. For the low price I was expecting flimsy, lightweight ones but these are sturdy and able to hold up a lot of weight. The company also sent a nice little note and a guarantee of return at any time, not just within 30 days. They even sent a little sticker that looks like a moustache!
