Bought it to pair with a 9800x3d for my build. The design is very nice and it was very easy to install everything. Installing my components were quick and easy with all the MSI EZ features included in this board. Worked right out of the box and didn't require a BIOS update. It was pretty much plug and play. The error code number feature also tells the temperature of the CPU after boot. Based on the manual, it seems the only lane sharing on this board is between the M.2_2 slot and the USB-C 40G. Aside from that, the only thing I would add that I wish this board had was if all of the M.2 slots had a bottom side heatsink built in like it does for the M.2_1 slot.

So far has been a great board. I ordered before any reviews about it. It's very sleek in an all white build. Didn't need to update bios for the 9000 series.

Sent 2 boards. 1 had bent pins. Sent it back for a replacement. Replacement was DOA (couldn’t power up, much less even post).Bought another, lesser CPU to test and returned a 9800x3D, bought a new PSU, and when that didn’t work, I went to get an ASUS MOBO, and it actually turned on.Never buying MSI again for anything.

I bought this motherboard because it has the X870E chipset and because it wasn't priced outrageously. That's supposed to mean at least 2 Gen5 M.2 slots. Only one slot actually runs at Gen5 speeds. So instead of the advertised 2 Gen5 and 2 Gen4 M.2 slots, I only had one. I chatted with a very polite support technician and he suggested that I wait for the next BIOS update and see if that fixed the problem. So much for a mature product. I have a few days before the return windows closes, so I'll think about that. I'll give him points because he volunteered to pay postage both ways for an RMA.

Not only is the heatsink pure white, but the PCB is also completely white. If you're building a white-themed AMD PC, this is undoubtedly the best choice, as MSI's X870 offers the best PCIe lane allocation, and its BIOS stability is also reassuring.Although this is just a mid-range motherboard, it features an 8-layer PCB, This is very important for the signal stability of PCIE 5.0. making it well worth the price.

The latest generation of MSI AMD platform motherboards have been replaced with a new BIOS UI, which is more concise. Basically, the functions that need to be set are easy to find and set on the homepage. It is also equipped with MSI's official overclocking options to easily squeeze CPU performance.

My little cousin's parents asked me to help upgrade his PC, so I hooked him up with this x870E Edge TI. Its a pretty sweet board, packed with all the latest stuff like ddr5 and pcle 5. way better than what he had before. he's mostly into gaming, so the fast wifi and 5g lan were a big plus. hopefully, this will keep him happy (and his parents off my back) for a while
