I was tired of paper packages of salt and pepper in my RV drawer. I have a smallvan RV and we do relatively short camping trips. This was a perfect addition and takes up no space. Very well made with a solid cap and seal. Would be great for backpacking and hiking too!

I use a mix of Liquid IV and Propel in my water and the little sleeves have way too much mix for 8oz of water for me so I'll mix them together until I get the right ratio, but I was wasting a lot of it because the sleeves aren't resealable. This works fantastic even in a humid climate, it's truly air tight and everything's stayed dry in it and nothing's crystalized or melted at all! Great and sturdy little thing!

We purchased this for one of our sons lunchbox. He enjoys his raw veggies with a little salt & pepper rather than salad dressing, he also enjoys his cooked veggies with a tiny bit of salt & some pepper too. -I really don’t get the pepper thing, but it’s his lunch, & much better than processed dressings- So we wanted a small set of shakers that would not leak all over the inside of his lunchbox, & then found this combo shaker.We were hoping, and happy when it arrived, and is a really good fit for his 5th grader hands! At first it was really tough to open, and often the entire end cap would come off while we were trying to open a flap; However the more we played with it the easier it became. I open the ends with a thumbnail, and he opens it with a fingertip. Works great now!Once we had them flexed and easier to use we put a little salt in one end, and a little pepper in the other. Probably a 1/2tsp. of each in each end. That way if he did spill it - for whatever reason there wasn’t/isn’t much to spill at all. Also in case some sodium starved tablemate borrows it - there won’t be much left for them, & we won’t get screamed at by some parental food nazi. (They seem to have a strangle hold on the schools right now!)Our 5th grader find this salt & pepper shaker easy to use, has had no accidents with it, and he is enjoying his food the way he likes it! What more can you ask of a Salt & Pepper Shaker?We took 1 star off because it came so tight, & instructions on how to flex the lids (open and close a bunch of times) would have been a nice courtesy for (us) the customer.With that simple improvement we would have rated it a 5 star.We absolutely Do Recommend this salt & pepper shaker - with the flexing recommendation of course-&We hope our review is helpful to you!

I mean, it is what it is. They're small and easy to carry wherever. Well made. Bought 2 of them. They stay closed. Exactly what I wanted. Also, they're MSR Alpine, so ya can't lose with quality.

OK, this spice shaker is grossly overpriced at nearly $11. However, for my purposes, I was willing to buy.The shaker is small enough to not take up a lot of space in my camping / backpacking supplies, but it actually holds nearly 3-teaspoons in each side. The shaker is 2-5/8" tall. The seals are good. The plastic is not the kind that will shatter or crack if dropped.MSR also make a single-ended version that will hold just one spice. I have that one as well (for all-purpose seasoning) and this one I use for salt and pepper.While some reviews might complain about the small size, for my purposes, 3-teaspoons of any spice is a LOT to use over the course of even 4 or 5 days camping for two or three people. But some people use more spices than I do. :-)As a small, durable, nearly waterproof spice container - I am satisfied.

I saw a lot of complaints about trying to open it. I did not have any issues with this at all. I also saw complaints about being small. But, that is the point. I was able to slip it into my cook set. Took up little space and held plenty for my three day backpacking trip. I highly recommend it.

Small but mighty, this little guy is the perfect size for my camping gear, lids are tight I don't fear just tossing it in and letting it rattle around in my gear.
