  • Ergo Televator heel lift bar flips up to increase uphill efficiency, provide help on steep ascents, and reduce fatigue
  • Snowshoes measure 7.25 x 22 inches, weigh 3.88 pounds/pair, and can carry up to a 180-pound load; bindings fit women’s shoes sizes 4.5-14; made in the USA

The MSR Lightning Ascent Women’s Snowshoes are the lightest, most aggressive snowshoes in the MSR line, designed for backcountry pursuits. Engineered to address the biomechanics of women, they are also suitable for anyone with a narrower gait seeking an ultralight option with maximum maneuverability and agility. Minimalist Paragon bindings feature a one-piece mesh contouring strap that wraps securely around boots for a glove-like feel that eliminates pressure points and promotes alignment and foot control. The ultra-durable, variable-thickness TPU mesh conforms to a wide range of boots, and maintains strength and flexibility in frigid weather; bindings are field-maintainable. A 360-degree traction frame offers edge-to-edge grip, and steel DTX crampons provide bite on slopes. Rugged, lightweight polyurethane decking offers floatation and durability, and easy-to-engage Ergo Televator heel lifts offer help on the steeps, reducing fatigue. Available in two sizes to accommodate a range of body weights and gear loads: 22-inch snowshoes measure 7.25x22 inches, weigh 3.88 pounds/pair, and can carry a 180-pound load; 25-inch snowshoes measure 7.25x25 inches, weigh 4.04 pounds/pair, and can carry up to 220-pounds. Bindings fit women’s shoe sizes 4.5-14. Sold as a pair. Made in the USA. Three-year limited warranty.

Super lightweight and easy to walk in. Ascent bars are great for any uphills/climbs.

The snow shoes have performed perfectly in the Washington cascades. There’s a reason that most people out here think they are the best!

Well-designed snowshoe. Supports a close-to-normal gait. Works in snow 4-6 inches deep or more.

I was very excited about trying out this new pair of lightning ascent, but a couple miles into this fairly easy trail, I noticed one of the screws/rivets holding the footplate to the snowshoe on my right foot is gone.. I did manage to complete the rest of the ~5 mile hike, but ended up using microspikes on the way down. I've contacted MSR, and I suspect the screw is easy to replace, but if you do go for these highly rated/highly priced snowshoes, be sure to get a repair kit and always take it with you!

Very lightweight, good float. Binding take some getting used to but I have come to like them.

I got to give these a full test-drive in the Canadian Rockies a few weeks back. And oh boy did I love them.I was doing my avalanche training and most of us chose to use snowshoes. My two other friends had rented theirs from two different spots in town. Neither had the heel lift for uphill assist and both had one (or both) fall off in the deep snow.Mine held on comfortably and made the inclines so much easier and more comfortable. They were narrow enough that I didn't feel like a duck walking. But wide enough that when we went trucking off trail I was comfortable!I hate snowshoeing, but these made me hate it just a little less!

These are great women’s snowshoes. High end yes but hopefully the last pair you will ever buy, baring any kind of damage to them. They are built to last.
