I love this little bath duck. Is it the most precise thermometer? No. But is it better than trusting my wrist? Absolutely yes. I now have older kids who can tell me when the water is too hot, and they often think it’s too warm when I think it’s fine. Do you know what gets it right every time? This duck.So why have I bought 3? The little hot meter on the bottom wears out in about a year, making it hard to tell whether the duck is still signaling that the water is too hot. Because the duck doesn’t have a hole in it, it still makes a nice bath toy, but it’s no longer a helpful thermometer. Because it costs less than $5, doesn’t take batteries, and works as a toy after it has run its primary course, I don’t mind having to buy replacements. Would recommend to any parent looking to keep their little one safe in warm water.

My friend drives a jeep and I wanted to get her a duck because she didn't have any and all the other ones you have to buy like 12 at once and I just wanted to get her one. It was a lot bigger than I thought. It's the size of two of those small rubber ducks. But it looks exactly like the picture and looks cute in her jeep

I needed a new rubber ducky but really haven't used the thermometer part very much as I check the water often and have taught my granddaughter to put her toe in first. It was a great price and is a good bathtime toy. Maybe I'll use it more for the next granddaughter.

Good bath toy, temperature check works.. I am glad for the order history we have a new baby and a five year old dog. They get along well except the dog thinks all the toys are his. I see a lot of reorders in my future.

A hidden gem! I've been passively on the lookout for a rubber duck to be used as a bathroom decoration piece for ages. Unfortunately, most rubber ducks in today's market look rather tacky (a duck painted to look like Elvis? No thanks!) and are manufactured using flimsy, thin material. However, this was not the case with the Munchkin 31001 Ducky Hot Safety Bath bath. It perfectly resembles the classic rubber duck of the 80's and 90's, but with a subtle modern take. It's simplified yet slightly outstretched eyes are not only innocent and endearing, but appealing to a wide age demographic. Meanwhile, competitive ducks are either outdated or overly designed with much higher price tags. As a bonus, the item received was not only exactly as pictured and affordable, but made with a thicker, more durable rubber than the typical flimsy ducks found at offline toy stores. One thing to note, because my ducks are for cosmetic purposes only, they have not been tested in waters, hot or otherwise, nor do I intend to use them that way.
