A little cheaper made than thought but it is durable. Baby loves to swirl and tap it very bright and enticing for infants.

I needed these ocean drums to use for groups of preschoolers in my music therapy practice. They have a nice sound, not as tinny/trebley as many plastic based ones are. More substantial ocean drums made with drum skins can be a lot more money. These are a great size, thickness and weight for my 3 to 5 year old students. I have learned that when eight preschoolers play them at once, they can get loud. (Who knew?) These drums are bright, colorful and the kids love to watch the different colors interact as they roll and swish the beads across. My only hesitancy about them is that the back of them is made with heavy laminated cardboard. They have held up for several months perfectly well, but I can't say what they will function like in 10 years to come. All in all I confidently recommend these- they are a requested kid favorite!

wonderful gift for kids. My child fell in love with this toy at the library, all the kids were fighting over it so I had to get her one. Then her an her cousin were fighting over hers so I had to get my niece one too! Its the perfect gift, or toy from home or the car. Go ahead and buy it now!

My baby LOVES this toy, however, I feel I have no choice but to throw it away since I didn't keep the packaging. The clear plastic is very thin and dents easily (as shown in the picture). I'm worried that one day it will pop open and the beads will spill out. It is one of his favorites though! I wish it was better quality but it's just not worth the risk.

My baby's music class uses a similar bead drum that she likes so I decided to buy one for our house. I was disappointed to see how cheaply made it is. The backing is pretty much a glossy piece of thin cardboard instead of something durable like a hard plastic. The clear plastic cover on the other side is flimsy as well. I only kept it because my daughter really likes it, but we have to supervise her when it's in her playpen because I could see her easily breaking it by stepping on it or puncturing it somehow, which would be an issue given the beads are a choking hazard. For the price, I expected something better than cheap party favor quality.

I bought this for my Granddaughter when she was 7 months old, shes 15 months old now and still loves this simple toy. I would never had thought out of all her toys that this one would be the one she plays with the most. She runs around shaking it all the time, it has been dropped, thrown, stepped on and chewed on so many times and still holding up like new! It's super durable and just a simple toy at a great price.

I do private duty nursing for a handicapped child who cannot actually play. This toy is great for added audio/visual stimulation. Love the sounds and bright colors with bead movement that can be watched throughout interaction
