Should have read the reviews before ordering. The box was missing the metal tip applicator. Probably as important as the oil itself. Several reviews also said they were missing the applicator tip. Made in China so your kind of screwed. I hope you read this before buying. Try another brand of oil. Or use a ******* toothpick like I will have to use.

My daughter plays flute and oboe and this stuff is like magic. Super lubricating - just need a drop or two, and the applicator makes that easy to dispense to the right place. No unpleasant odor and it has the right amount of adhesion to not run everywhere and make a mess. Definitely a good product.

Somehow in my 9 years of playing clarinet when I was younger, I never knew to use key oil. I just picked it back up again, and so I tried out this key oil. I wasn't sure where to apply it, so I looked up a Youtube video that showed putting a drop at each joint. It had a bottle with a smaller tip, which would be good on this bottle to be able to be more exacting. However, it worked fine.I had to wipe small amounts of excess oil off the wood, but it didn't drip and came off well and wasn't messy. I would like to know what kind of oil it is, which isn't labeled on the product, and a smaller bottle would be good since it's needed so rarely.Overall seems like a good product. My keys are moving well, not sticking or making excess noise.

Don't have to use it much, but my son keeps it in his clarinet case. No issues with leaking, and it's also easy to apply.

I used this oil on a baritone saxophone. It's a good quality key oil at a good price. Applicator works great, no leaks or spurts. Also, it's easy to get the applicator tip where it needs to go. All in all, a good product.

I do not play my instruments a lot, but I do play a lot of instruments. Normally, because each instrument (alto sax, soprano sax, tenor saxes [2], bari sax, clarinet, oboe) is not heavily played, I oil the keys on them all toward the end of each year.My oil also did not come with the applicator tip, but I found that I could use the needle that came with a printer ink refill kit fit nicely (see photo). You could apply the oil without the tip that should be provided or a needle like I did, but it will probably get messy. If you don't get the tip or have access to a similar needle, I would suggest using the old fashioned method of applying with a toothpick, tiny jeweler's screwdriver, etc. I only downgraded the product because of the lack of the tiny applicator tip.I decided to try the oil first on an old Albert fingering clarinet given to me that needs to be repadded (that I know had been oiled in years). The keys were sluggish. I lightly oiled the keys and the keys were very responsive. One of the keys has an extremely weak spring and the key moved freely and would return to position despite the weak spring. The oil is marked '...for worn woodwind actions'. It does appear slightly more viscous than my previous key oil. My instruments are old (the newest is more than 20 years old, the oldest more than 80 years old). This oil is working great on both the old and 'new'. I highly recommend.
