Didn't take much sanding to fit my Epiphone Casino perfectly. Took a bit more sanding to fit our Tradition s20 Les Paul copy. Better to be too big and sand down to the correct size. Sounds good. Looks good. Performs well. After lubricating the nut with pencil shavings the guitar returns to in-tune much better than the plastic nut this replaced. So I am happy. No more nut pings when laying on the Bigsby.

I bought this to replace the plastic nut on my 1999 Epiphone Les Paul Standard. Out of the box it was just a bit (maybe 1.5 mm) wide and it sat a little high for my taste (maybe 2 mm). But just a few minutes with some fine grit sandpaper, and now it's perfect. It looks great, and the action is right where I want it. Highly recommended!

Requires some fitting and polishing but any replacement nut will require some fitting.. width, thickness rounding of corners, polishing the thing, setting the fretboard radius on the slots Fitted mostly on a glass plate with 360 and 400 grit paper. maybe about a half hour of fitting... Original nut was hollow plastic... I used bleached and would use the unbleached if I had to do it again on this instrument.

Exactly what I expected. I pre made nut will always be taller and wider than needed to accommodate varying guitars. It will never be a drop and go installation.
