I use EMG active pickups with the solderless pots and wiring, but they only have A25k (audio/logarithmic taper) volume pots. I prefer linear taper for volume. Audio taper volume pots are like an on/off switch. Hardly any change between 1-6, then it suddenly jumps to almost full on, and there's not much change between 6-10. The included A25k pots are also very loose turning. These B25k pots have more resistance when turning, tighter but turn smoothly. With this and the linear taper, I can get much more precise volume settings and a gradual, more linear, volume swell. I had to cut the quick-connects off the EMG wires and solder them to this pot, one input, one output, and 2 to ground. It doesn't have as smooth of a volume swell as the B500k CTS pot I have in a passive guitar, but it's still much better than the A25k pots that come with EMGs.

I am a real customer and I appreciate Musiclilly's fast delivery time and availability of products. In this day & age where Guitar Center stocks like nothing's and says they can get it to the store within 5 business days Musiclilly has the products and gets them to you in 3 days or so. Yay!! Do now I check with them first and I've pretty much given up on Guitar Center. GC was cool in the 80's & 90's. Musiclilly is the future!

Got my budget bass back online, I just used one pot and it’s cleaner and working great again, I drilled the hole one size bigger and used a nut on the pot under the pick guard and the knob leveled out with the other knob.

I used these to replace the original potentiometers for my EMG SAs (from early 2000s) hardwired set.They are smooth and no noise from them at all. Came with 2 in pack to replace the volume and tone pot. I also have a larger SPC which is attached to a larger potentiometer, which I left as is.

The Ibanez stock potentiometers aren't the best (common complaint) and over time the volume pot has started to exhibit dead spots near the top of the volume range and is scratchy as hell - which is bad when playing live shows. At first I tried to hit it with some switch cleaner and it got rid of the scratchy but not the dead spots. I decided to just replace it myself after taking a look at the existing pot which was marked B25K. The post of this replacement was not solid like the one I took out but the knob anchors to it just fine without issue. The height is perfect and it works perfectly as well! Couldn't be happier with this purchase - I can do volume swells again!!
