They work - you can glue you pads in.But be careful with the heat. don't put to big a pellet in a small cup -the pad will not seat correctly.the finished product is plasticy - so it is a little hard to get it out of the cup if you need to change a pad.I am old fashioned - I like shellac

I watch youtube and someone put on pellet to the key pad cup 2~3, that is fake. You must put on pellet on the key pad cup less than one because there is different size pellet. If you put on 2~3 pellets and heat the cup and overflow melted pellet and can't put the pad on.So, you must check pellet size and just one small size or cut the big size to small and heat. When you heat key cup w/pellet, not too much heat pellet as like fluid but JELLY and put the pad on JELLO PELLET.And safe your key and replacement pads. You make pads even to the cup, otherwise, air will leak and Cla not make a sound.Do not afraid and good luck.

Just was getting back into an old hobby of repairing musical instruments. They take a bit to get used to how many to use but they are convenient. You just need the base under your pad to be solid without any air pocket so you may need to cut one up. They are uniform in size and melt at a good temp.

Large amount of pellets for my needs. I just wanted them in my case for the rare need for a quick pad replacement on my clarinet. I ended up giving a tablespoon of pellets to everyone who plays clarinet or saxophone in band and still have a lifetime supply.
